Well, Floyd won that fight and had a good style for Manny, but Manny wins the era overwhelming. Manny has fought wars and good fighters over and over and did not handpick the way Floyd did. How did Floyd handpick? Well even Manny, you have to say he got Thurman at the right time. Floyd would have fought Thurman at this time also. But it still was a good win for Manny. Canelo is fighting Kovalev at the right time. He has seen him stopped 2 times and knows working the body will work and then coming upstairs. He sees how to beat him and he knows Kovalev is on the downside. This is handpicking at the right time.

Pac's resume does leave Floyd's resume in the dust. It's not even close. Hell, Andre Ward has a better resume than Mayweather. Floyd's legacy is largely contingent upon retiring undefeated and beating a lot of B level guys and past prime A level guys.

My Hat goes off to Pac, for what he's done in his career, and still doing. Considering he's still boxing it's, hard to say who legacy is better until he actually retires. I will say though, should he defend his title several more times against the top guys out there now. He might pass Floyd in terms of legacy. I say might because Floyd beat Pac rather easily when he fought him. Folks will say Pac was out of his prime, but so was Floyd, and if younger stronger guys of this generation can not do to a 40yr old Pac, what a 38yr old Floyd could. Then Floyd in terms of greatness was truly on a different level than fighters of his era, as well as the new era. That greatness will more so be define, should pac continue getting victories over the top fighters of this generation. Should Pac unify all the titles in the welter weight division, then Mayweather legacy will have to step aside. The only way Floyd could beat that, is by beating Pac once more in a rematch.

So Hearns is automatically greater than Duran?

Floyd is naturally 2 weight class above Pac for a start. Second, Pac has declined way more than floyd. Had more fights, more wars and the things that made him so dangerous were gone, his ferociousness (courtesy of jmm and religion) and his stamina. 2000-2010 Pac never tired, after 12 rounds he looked like he could still go another 12. By the time he fought Floyd he was averaging 500-600 punches per fight compared to the 800-1200 in his prime.
Floyd meanwhile despite being holder hadn’t really lost anything that he needed to beat Pac. He still had his range and height advantage, reflexes, speed, skills etc.

Lewis was older than Tyson when he beat him but we all know who was seriously past it.

The Thurman last night wouldn’t have lasted 6 rounds with the Pac that fought cotto.

Mayweather skill is sublime. If you ask me who is more skillful I would say Mayweather.
But accomplishment and greatness go to Pac.

Absolutely. It’s irrefutable. That Pac Man is somethin else! The poll of public opinion would be even more lopsided than this one too!

I really dislike Mayweather, I was rooting for Pacquiao to beat Mayweather, but the fact is we've never seen Mayweather face planted.

That Marquez defeat alone gives Mayweather victory in the legacy stakes. One of the greatest moments in recent times, Pacquiao face down out cold for minutes.

Also after the weekend there are serious question marks over Pacquiao and his fear of needles, and I'm one of those people who slaughter people for baseless accusations but in my opinion it's beyond blatant now.

Even Hearn was somewhat sarcastic in an interview I saw today.. it is amazing how this old Pacquiao is faster, stronger, bigger and better and there just so happens to be no VADA testing.. all very errr coincidental.
