Ali came into the Young fight in terrible shape. However Young had a safety first style to make anyone look bad and this was the reason Ali never fought him again.

Mark. If you weighed as much as a 3rd grader, would you be smarter than you are now in yr tested for autism 40s? No. You would be the same moron you are now. But, if you were heavier, knifeweilding hookers would have a better chance of stabbing you in the balls.

I'd give Holyfield a great shot at beating him too.

Holy would be befuddled by Ali’s speed. Holys stand up style would prove out poorly.

He lost against Frazier and Norton, neither one was bigger than him. Of course he could lose, I'd give guys like Jack Johnson, Joe Louis, Evander Holyfield around 50% chances.

I'd like to see Schmeling against Ali, though Ali could be too fast for him.

Could they? Yes. would they? Not in my book that's for sure. Joe Louis would be dangerous.

Young didn't deserve the win imo.He had it on a plate but couldn't find the championship mentality to take it.

Holmes...I think only Louis and maybe Marciano would have given him a tougher fight than Holmes, and I mention Rocky because he did have that short, swarming style not entirely unlike either Norton or Joe.

Ewps sorry I forgot about the topic being about fights smaller than Ali. Sorry.

Holyfield-Ali would have been a great fight, indeed. Hard to imagine Holy lasting through the late rounds with 60s Ali, though imo.

Holy probably would have had a really good chance against 70s Ali though.

Ali was nearer his old speed and fought better in the rematch agaunst Frazier than in their first clash.

Frazier was also much lesser fighter in their second fight. I don't get your response though, you asked a question and I answered.
