It's been done a million time but it's been years since I have really discussed it. Let's do it.

Marciano went 49-0 (43) overall, 7-0 (6) in HW world title fights, and 6-0 (5) vs. Hall of Famers. He was under 6', under 200 Lbs., and his reach was under 70". Some say he beat past-prime fighters. Louis was past-prime but still tough. He had won 8 fights in a row including a win over Hall of Famer Jimmy Bivins leading up to their fight. Walcott and Moore were as good as ever vs. Marciano. Charles was past his best but was well prepared. Charles was in great shape and rose to the occasion in his 2 fights vs. Marciano. All good wins for Marciano.

Tyson went 50-6 (44) 2NC but started his career 37-0 (33), 10-0 (8) in HW world title fights. He went 2-0 (2) vs. Hall of Famers prior to his first loss. Tyson is also under 6', his reach is just over 70", and he was 214-217 Lbs. at his best.

Tyson was quicker and Tyson was used to fighting big Heavyweights. Marciano was used to fighting some of the best technicians a boxing ring has ever seen. Marciano fought Hall of Famers who were quick, elusive, accurate, strong, durable, and could punch... but Louis was the biggest of the Hall of Famers Rocky fought at 6'2" and around 210 Lbs.

Tyson was a fast starter and he would be hell for almost any HW for the first 4 or 5 rounds. Marciano wouldn't have to chase Tyson, this fight would be fought at close quarters. Tyson wins the first 4 rounds and probably even drops Marciano... who was only down twice but go up to win by KO both times. Marciano had amazing stamina and he wouldn't have to use his legs much. He'd still have a lot of energy after 4 rounds but would Tyson? I think Marciano does better during rounds 5-8 and wins ar least 2 of those rounds without getting dropped. By round 9 Marciano is comfortable and gets a second wind, Tyson is started to get tired. Rounds 9-12 are good rounds for Rocky and I think he wins about 3 out of the 4 rounds. In the end I think Tyson wins by decision in a very good fight. Rocky gets dropped and gets cut, both men get rocked several times. Both men compliment the other after the fight.

"He'd still have a lot of energy after 4 rounds but would Tyson?" - YES
"I think Marciano does better during rounds 5-8" - I'D BE SURPRISED IF HE IS STILL LEVEL BY THIS POINT.

Lol Joe Louis was a 195 pound fighter who put on weight as he got older. If you honestly think a 180 pound guy like Marciano could go 12 rounds with Mike Tyson then should just quit this site and quit watching boxing. Marciano would never make it past 30 seconds with Mike Tyson or any other modern skilled, modern sized heavyweight.

Marciano beat a 40 year old Archie Moore who was actually a light heavyweight or less for most of his career. He was never a modern heavyweight. So him being in the Hall of Fame means what? Jersey Joe Walcott was a 190 pound guy who was pushing 40. Ezzard Charles was 175 pounds or less most of his career so not a modern sized heavyweight. So Marciano's best wins were against guys who were past their primes and not modern sized heavyweights.

Also as I stated before Marciano lost to Roland LaStarza a 180 pound fighter. Marciano lost to Ted Lowry a 170 pound fighter and got a gift win. Not only did Ted Lowry beat Marciano and got robbed people at ring side stated that Lowry could of knocked out Marciano when ever he chose but held back.

Rocky Marciano fans have the be the most clueless simple minded of all boxing fans. In fact anybody who is a fan of Marciano could be banned from this site.
Rocky Marciano beat Ted Lowry by UD in round 10 of 10
• Date: 1949-10-10
• Location: Rhode Island Auditorium, Providence, Rhode Island, USA
• Referee: Ben Maculan
• See also: Rocky Marciano vs. Ted Lowry (2nd meeting)
Michael J. Thomas of the Providence Journal wrote, "Marciano did not win the fight. This reporter gave it to Lowry, six rounds to four.”

The crowd of 3,696 booed the decision and some wondered if Lowry had thrown the fight. "There were some questions as to whether Lowry, who had come close to knocking out Marciano in the second, third and fourth rounds, deliberately bogged down in his attack after the fourth stanza," Thomas wrote. "Lowry stopped using his uppercut after the fourth. He went into a shell and only occasionally landed power shots. He seemed to be carrying Marciano."

In his book Rocky Marciano: The Rock of His Times, Russell Sullivan wrote the following:

"It was Lowry, not Marciano, who was on the verge of scoring an early knockout, stinging Marciano with two terrific rights in the first round and then rocking him with two mighty uppercuts in the second. By the fourth, a staggered Marciano seemed just one punch away from being knocked out. But then, inexplicably, Lowry stopped fighting and retreated into a shell despite warnings from the referee to open up and a cascade of boos from the crowd. To many, it appeared that Lowry was deliberately carrying Marciano. Was foul play afoot? Was Lowry getting paid to lose? Or was he merely tiring? Whatever the reason, a revived Marciano managed to rally in the late rounds even though many of his punches missed their mark or lacked force. On the basis of his aggressiveness and constant punching, Marciano won a unanimous decision from the judges. Most observers felt, however, that Lowry should have won."
Lowry, who earned $2,500 for the fight, denied he threw the fight. "I beat Rocky that night and that’s it," he said. "He changed his strategy in the fifth round and made a fight of it, but I won two of the last six rounds after winning the first four. It was a hometown decision."

Lol Mike Tyson went 12 rounds with hard punching Razor Ruddock and wasn't fatigue. Tyson went 12 rounds with Tony Tucker and wasn't fatigued. Tyson went 12 rounds with Bone Crusher Smith and wasn't fatigued. Tyson wasn't a 4 round fighter. Tyson just knocked out so man people quick so he didn't have to go 12 rounds. In any case this wouldn't make any difference since 180 pound Marciano wouldn't make it out of the first minute with Tyson.

Rockista Brain Virus reached the General?
Remind you, the number of "historics" wearing multicoloured glasses is much lower in here.

"Rocky - Tyson" is an "club vs. shutgun" affair.

Pure nonsense.

Right then you realize everybody at ring side stated LaStarza beat Marciano. Lol Marciano would bleed all over the ground after Mike Tyson smashed him there. Guys like you bore me. Anybody who is stupid enough to think a 180 fighter could beat a 220 pound modern fighter doesn't deserve to type to me. So I will ignore anything else you type.
