If that doesn't make Dave Allen think twice then nothing will. Maxim Dadashev was a good fighter with wins over former world champions Perez and Demarco. He was a genuine prospect that looked like he would have done well in the sport. Dave, who fights much bigger men, doesn't have half as much talent and has taken too many beatings already should certainly think about hanging them up. It's getting dangerous for him not to.

 

Will have to give it a listen! And you’re spot on, Ted said himself in an interview how easy it was because of the routine around training. Most youngsters will go out drinking/socialising which he couldn’t do during camp. As you say, terrible problems to have at just 23.

Yep. Not a bad fight but I'll echo what's been said on this thread countless times, he needs to call it a day before he's seriously hurt.

 

Shame see that video with dadashev. Must been absolute brutal for mcgirt but had his fighters best interests at heart

 

If he passes his medical and wants to fight then let him. Problem is they people who slaughter him watch his fights regardless and that’s what keep him relevant. Let him fight and leave him alone and let him fade away if you dont like it.

Because something bad happens to one fighter that doesn’t mean it will happen to another.

P.s the majority had Allen as the favourite to win

 

The Bracamonte fight displayed all the weaknesses that Allen has, he went life and death with him.

 

He wasn't in a 'Pub' and it wasn't until 2:30am, he was in the hotel bar but left well before the time you seem to believe.

So yes if you're in a hotel and can't sleep and a whole load of people you know are in the hotel bar then you probably would stop in there on your way back from a late night stroll because you can't sleep, Dave doesn't drink either.

People suggesting that its so unprofessional to be up and awake 20 odd hours before you go to work make me laugh, you'd be VERY surprised at who else was in the bar (even later) , Dave was from from the only one.

 

As I stated, it was "rumoured" and then Eddie sort of confirmed it. Maybe you were there and are trying to defend Dave. I have nothing against him and I like the guy, but you can read my previous posts on what I think of his mentality towards the profession.

It doesn't matter if it's a pub or hotel bar, if it's 2:30 in the morning or 11:30 at night. It's no good.

 

Makes no difference what he was doing, his lack of talent and ability is the only issue.

 

Anybody listened to the towers life story? He said Allen would just takes shits to the head because he 'likes taking shots'. Also ingle said he would be blowing bubbles in later life.

 

Yeah, I heard that. Also Towers said Allen wasn't wearing a gumshield when they sparred. The guys an idiot frankly. I don't think he should be anywhere near a ring.

 

We all know what Dave Allen is like, the hotel bar thing is just an excuse, even if he says it's not because if it's not an excuse why bring it up, why say anything? David Price has probably had a lot to deal with psychologically over the last few years and he's found himself a figure of ridicule but he's gone abut things in a far more professional manner, you didn't see him waffling after the Povetkin fight.

 

The problem is Saturday and other fights will earn him more in one night than he would in a year or two, couple of weeks training compared to doing a 9-5 job everyday of the year
