Can Errol Spence stop top competition ?Are the days of Errol Spence stopping opponents over ?

I don't think Spence is a big puncher, he's just super big for 147 and sharp, especially with his body shots. I think he has good chance to stop Porter as it's stylistically a good matchup for Spence. And Porter didn't look good vs. Ugas. I don't think Spence stops guys like Danny or Crawford.

 

Spence threw everything he had at Garcia in the last 3 rounds of their fight and couldn't so much as wobble him. If Spence stops Porter then Garcias stock has to go up.

 

Garcia was in survival mode the entire fight, Porter will actually try and win and most likely go out on his shield.

 

I doubt Spence can stop porter

 

i dont think he stops porter. porter has been trying to transition into more than a bury your head in his chest and swing kinda guy. he is turning into khan with a jaw. spences foot work is too fast, he will slide back and meet porter with a hard jab. if porter gets too aggressive, where spence gets enough looks to time him, then hes going to hurt porter, enough that he will eventually get him out of there, or porter sr gets him out of there. i just think porter is not going to like the taste of spences punches, and will remain on the outside, a lot more than the inside, and spence will box circles around him on the outside.

 

Porter is changing his style because hes getting older.

 

Spence would have stopped Thurman if Thurman would have manned up and stopped being a *****. Spence will stop Porter.

 

I feel like Spence is potentially a great fighter, but has yet to have a breakout performance to establish his legacy. He couldn't stop Mikey and played it safe. A former Featherweight champion. He beat Algieri which is you know just meh.

And he was getting outboxed by a damaged goods version of Brook before he targeted his eye.

 

He didn't play it safe. Mikey is defensively sound, and was surviving in there. Defensively sound fighters can go the distance, even when they are significantly over powered. Just look at the way little Narvaez went 12 with a peak Donaire.

 

Porter might get stopped. I think Spence will stop more people at 154. I’d love to see Spence Jrock.

Be it Shavers, Tyson, Tua, Hearns, Jackson, Pacquaio, Pavlik. All my favorite KO artist's KO ratio dropped when facing best opposition.
IMO doesn't mean anything negative, just a testimony they were willing to face the best.

That means if Spence who isn't a Knock-Out Artist threw 1000 plus & didn't stop Garcia, then that was his alternative fight plan. If U can't stop them? Overwhelm them.
That's what Greats do; find a way to win!
