Wait. Beating a fighter that was coming off a two year layoff and mediocre performance in his tune-up fight puts you in the GOAT conversation? SMH, Come on guys. If this was Floyd he would get tons of smoke for this.

Becoming the oldest WW champion and owning 8 divisions across 10 puts you in the conversation.

Name me another fighter who became a unified world champion at age 40 on his 10th weight division?

Tune up/rust brushing fights are usually mediocre. Mayweather vs Augustus. Mikey Garcia vs Rojas. Ward vs Smith. All looked pretty bad and displayed considerably worse defense than is usually the case for them. After these fights Mayweather went straight to schooling Corrales in one of his best performances ever, Mikey Garcia Ko’d the lightweight champ Dejan, and Ward UD’d Sullivan Barrera.

You should also note that Lopez is a more dangerous fighter than Augustus, Rojas or Paul Smith. I know people like Augustus, but his lack of power doesn’t make him as dangerous in a comeback, listen to boxers and they will tell you, you know you are rusty when you are getting hit by punches you normally wouldn’t be getting hit by. Compromised defense is usually expected in a comeback, so for future boxers, don’t choose a guy that can rip your head off.

I do not disagree with anything you said. Indeed most boxers don't look that great after considerable layoffs in a tune up fight.

Thurman fought josesito lopez few months ago, and Thurman is at his prime now. PACs legendary career is still growing while floid career is done.

Floid’s win over pac is very controversial, raises lots of questions and doubts, like floids using of illegal in fluid, pacs shoulder injury, why 3 American judges etc. etc.

Do not really know what point you are trying to make? We already know Floyd is the pride of boxing and Las Vegas. And if Manny had his shoulder injury, he should have postponed.. Raises lots of questions and doubts?? not really ..We already know that this fight was for 2010, not 2015. This was a money grab fight … really doesn't mean much

I think if he just gets in the ring with Spence it puts his legacy on par with Floyd. But if he beats Spence somehow than he will surpass Floyd even with that loss vs Floyd. If he then goes on and fights Crawford and some how wins and becomes undisputed WW champion pass 40. There is a serious case to be made for GOAT status. Crawford and Spence are going be all time greats I believe when it's said and done. Thurman is a great to me not an all timer but very damn good. To just get in the ring with any of them pass 40 is remarkable.

Plus Floyd beat Manny fair and square. But it wasn't like he took him to the shed. And like it or not Manny got rotator cuff surgery immediately after the fight. That's going to great lengths to fabricate an injury to get surgery. Like it or not Manny was a compromised version of himself. But he has a loss vs Floyd, credit to Floyd. But if Manny keeps on with these champs I think that loss becomes irrelevant.

And who are these so called great champs you are talking about? Thurman, Spence, and Crawford? How many times have these 3 fought each other?? The crème rises to the top and if you aren't fighting each other, you haven't really done sh*t yet

Mayweather beat up shorter men with less reach for most of his career. Even at 147 he was average height and longer than average reach. When it comes to p4p fighters should be beating bigger men. Pacquiao fighting at 147 would be like Mayweather fighting at 154 size wise.

Spence and Crawford win? Not going to happen, but yeah, that would make him top 3.

Of course this also kind of depends on how well they would fare after.

Manny is already around top 15-20 in most people's list anyway. I rate his win over Thurman. Thurman could have been more active throughout the fight and win but same could be said for Manny vs Floyd. Mind games are there for a reason. I just hope Manny doesn't get himself killed trying to take on Spence or Crawford.

If Pacquiao was around in the 70s 80s or even 90s do you actually think he would've made it in that many divisions??? No....

Do you really think Floyd would be 50-0 If he was around in the 70's and 80's? You should watch how you answer this, your biased might shine through. By the way, Pacquiao was around in the 90's.
