What about when Pacquiao drained De La Hoya to come in at 145 pounds and was effectively a dead man walking.

i have been saying thurman is overated for years... years. i also said manny would get more credit than deserved for beating him because of it. nothing i have written about pac and thurman in the last 4 years has been proven to have been wrong. now im betting spence beats manny bad, crawford and mikey outpoint him.

Uh..... nah. Pacquiao is my favorite fighter ever.

I never thought Thurman was good before he fought Pac. I didnt think he was good when they fought. And I still dont think hes good after they fought.

I call it like it is. Always have, always will.

Thurman is overrated, was never a top fighter. And is B level at best.

Pacquiao is literally my favorite fighter ever in boxing.

I've said the same thing for years that Thurman is overrated. And now I'm the guy who bashes Manny??? You cant make this up.

I rate Pac the best fighter since the 80s p4p.

same here. my favorites all time are arguello, tyson, jcc, and pac. i have no interest in diminishing one of my faves legacy, but i aint going to lie for him. i will stay consistent with what i believe to be true. sometimes that means admitting when im wrong, but this aint one of those times.

You mean Floyd drained ODLH? Odlh was scheduled to rematch Floyd at 147. That’s why he took a tune up hour at 150 with Forbes. Floyd cancelled and Pac was dragged up from 135 with 1 fight there. Pac went up 3 weight divisions in 1 year to fight a guy who just took Floyd to SD. Ok.

How many times has Thurman fought over the past few years? He scraped by Garcia and Porter. He lost to a shot version of Pac who went life and death with Horn who got destroyed by Bud.

Spence and Bud are the best at WW now and will run through the rest. Porter will take a lot of punishment against big Errol but he has solid durability.

Thurman's good but not great. Wasted so many years.

It’s true, Thurman is probably a B to B+ at best and everyone else is B to B-. We know this because Pac and Floyd in their prime were considered to be A+ and guys like Danny Garcia and porter were nothing more than tuneups for them, in the case of porter, a sparring partner.

The fact that a 40 year old Pac is currently top 3 best WWs proves how great he was, is and how mediocre everyone is in comparison.

Spence and Crawford May very well be A+ too but they have yet to prove it.

So far, the levels game show:
    - Porter is more or less the same level as brooks
    - Brooks is more or less the same level as Spence.

No one has really separated themselves from the pack the way Pac and Floyd did 10 years ago.

Someone like a prime cotto would best Thurman and porter handily, and I’d favour him over Spence.

You say Thurman wasted so many years as if Spence and Crawford are in their early 20s with their shoddy resumes.

Here's the deal, Thurman is young yet and has another good 4-5 years in front of him. Time will tell how good he is.

Thurman is good. He stands up there with anyone at 147. The top 5 right now, in no particular ranking order, is Crawford, Spence, Pac, Thurman, and Porter. He beat Porter and lost to Pac. He has yet to fight Crawford and Spence but just looking at their record Thurman has done more at 147 than either. So until Spence or Crawford steps up in competition I don't know how anyone says they are better than Thurman. Potential don't mean ****. Lets see these two actually take on live bodies.

I'd also like to see how they far against Thurman. Make the fight. The guy can sell fight.
