Who were the "blue collar boxers"

    Tell me which boxers throughout the sport wore their hard hats to work and brought there lunch pales. They weren't the popular boxers or were the draw. They put in their work, did it the hard way, and finally got their shot or not.

    I'll think of more but on my way out the door.
    Bennie Briscoe worked simultaneously on the back of a Philadelphia sanitation truck full time while boxing and after his boxing career was over.

    Hagler .Was always regarded as blue collar .hard training hard fighting no nonsense guy .I remember he was asked why he didn't have a big group of hangers on and minders when he was in town for a fight.Who's gonna mess with me ?Was Marvins response.

    Jersey Joe is one that comes to mind straight away Rocky Balboa can't compare to the underdog who was a full-time farther and workingman earning title shots on an empty stomach.
