U do know it's only 2 WW fighters currently that walks around WW weight or slight less and that is Crawford and Pac. So i guess u can call all those fighters weight bullies, especially the top 10 WW. That's the way of boxing now in this era. From WW all the way up to LW. Majority of these fighters drop weight to make their weight division.

To be fair I think Thurman destroys horn similarly. Styles makes fights and horn won’t be able to weight bully Thurman like that.

Also a huge part of horns success was him being allowed to foul. Pac is a super clean fighter, he struggled the same with Sanchez back in his 122 prime.

This is why I said don’t take anything away from that fight, Pac went life and death with Sanchez and meanwhile destroys Barrera the fight after. Was Sanchez that much better than MAB or was it just the fouling?

I think there’s a concensus that you can probably weigh 5-10lbs above your fighting weight on fight night. Spence looks like he weighs 15-20lbs over on fight night.

Well, then it doesn't say a lot about the current WW division.

I saw a pretty good fight in Thurman vs Pac. Didn't see an exposing of Thurman, nor a clock rewind by Pac. As accurate as punch stats can be, tally was 1200 thrown combined.

That is an active fight where both fought inside, outside. Thurman credited for landing more power punches than Pac did is a testimony to how tough Pac is & how often Keith fought back.

Even this board on that night Pro Pac & Pro Thurman fans had the same feel of the fight:
Rd1 KT winning until that drop
    Rds 2-5 Pac terrorizing him
rds 6 & on...nearly everyone posting scores saw a KT turning up the heat. No-good fighters don't come back and win several rounds in a row.
40 or not...Pac still throws on average of his weight division.

No shame IMO that KT lost to Pac. He didn't get outboxed IMO he lost in the way most lose to Pac--they can't keep up with his workrate nor the angles he throws from. Not a technical guru, rather an amazing talent.

KT earned my respect as he could have folded, but he didn't. Could have thrown amatuer punches, he didn't. COuld have fouled his way due to frustration, he didn't. He landed well timed, well placed shots on Manny. Hitting Manny clsoe to 200 times isn't a testimony to a lack of power, Pac stood up to them, what can I say?
    He's a bad mofo.
    Just not better than Floyd;)

Well looks can be deceiving. He's no where near 15 to 20lbs lol At most, he may be 10lbs over 147 at best.

This is Simply an EXCUSE to discredit the Pacman win :fusmile
Thurman fought all rounds against a Legend,
Spence on the other hand tried nothing against a 2 weight smaller in Garcia.

After the Lopez fight, Thurman still had the best resume in WW, is the only one who has beaten legit oppositions matter of fact within the division, and was in top 3 of every person's WW rankings. E-V-E-R-Y P-E-R-S-O-N in the know about boxing.
Thurman is a legitimate WW champ, and his next fights will prove that.
It just means that Pacquiao is very clearly above these new WW in terms of boxing skill and intelligence. He's that good gents.

    Stop discrediting Pacquiao.
This is one of his greatest wins, up there with the Cotto, Bradley (2 and 3) and Hatton wins, even if you remove the fact that he's turning 41.
He defeated a champion who was as sharp as ever in their fight so you can't fault ring rust, was at the best shape of his boxing career (like seriously WTF did you see his abs?), and was the most proven out of all the WW champs.

Thurman was/is a top Welter but..... we keep making light of the fact that he was coming off an injury, a two year layoff, and a poor showing against a tough but somewhat worn fighter. The conversation heading into this fight was Thurman was selected for Pacquiao because he was the weakest of the 3 top Welters, Spence and Crawford being the others. Taking nothing from Pac, he put on a good performance and took it to Thurman. But to say Thurman wasn’t that good to begin with, I don’t know about that. Thurman however did not look like pre injury Thurman, I thought he looked very slow and lacked pop on his punches, but that’s just me.

The OP painted an accurate description of Thurman and frankly it balances all the hyperbolic BS some of you have engaged in since the fight.

This was a very good win for Pac for obvious reasons but it's not what what some of you are making out to be.
