That definitely sounded like him and Saunders will be parting ways to me. Regarding point no.5, Russia's time zones are ahead of us, so the main event should be a bit earlier than usual.
Joyce needs to go quickly to be fair though, he isn’t getting any younger. He needs to fight a fringe top 10 fighter and we’ll see where he’s at.
It would make sense all round I think. Saunders has been a waste of talent for frank and he’s probably fuming about that, he should have been a star but instead he’s just very unlikeable.
It's called Saunders isn't interested in fighting anyone bar bums while talking a good game. It's been screamingly obvious for the past 18 months. He looked dreadful last time out which almost no one mentions and got badly rocked by a complete can. As I said a year ago, you can stick a fork in Saunders boxing wise, he checked out a long time ago.
I have to disagree regarding his performance v Isufi. It was punch perfect bar the wobble. He won every second of every round and showed an excellent skill set. The shot which caught him wasn't ideal but it was above the ear, the area that takes away a guys equilibrium and the same shot that took AJ's soul. BJS used his feet to recover well and boxed on perfectly. Isufi is poor but he can bang. As regards opponents who knows. Warren claims to have made a legitimate offer for a unification fight v Smith so that's certainly not bum fighting. Anyway, I hope he leaves Warren and gets on the DAZN middleweight scene.
Got to strongly disagree with you. I don’t think it was punch perfect. I think Saunders knew he was being gifted a title and was complacent. All the post fight interviews with Frank, BD and BJS himself they were hardly ecstatic over the performance themselves. Also the Smith offer is terrible. From Callum’s point of view he gets that vs N’Dambwhys he going to accept that for a British unification?
Completely agree. And he’s took Frank for an absolute ride. He’s had so much faith in him and just been let down so many times. If Saunders had any ounce of seriousness about him he would’ve took the Andrade fight. Career high pay day against a very beatable opponent which then would’ve opened doors for a potential GGG or Canelo fight. He needs to leave Frank (through no fault of Warren’s), he’s caught in a position where every big fighter in the two weight classes he operates in are on DAZN bare Eubank - who apparently refuses to work with Warren after being sued by him.
You have to love Warren, the biggest hypocrite in boxing. He bangs on about the safety of the fighters, the integrity of the sport, how important the British Boxing Board of Control etc. Yet he conveniently forgets how he staged Haye v Chisora which was sanctioned by the Luxembourg Boxing Commission without the approval of the BBBC as Chisora was banned by them at the time. You couldn’t meet a more sly and unscrupulous character if you tried!
And that's the crux of the issue. Promoters are all pretty much the same. Some are scumbags in the sense they have stolen money from fighters but generally they all in the game for the same thing and I doubt any promoter pulls a show unless they are made too.
This exactly. What would have happened if one of those fighters died in the ring that night in an unscantioned fight. Guy also back Fury to the hill despite his drugs ban. Warren talks a lot of waffle but does it with no charisma. I get Hearn tells a few porkies but his comedic style and banter gets him off. Warren has been bankrupt a million times to avoid paying fighters that are putting their lives at risk according to him
