Seems like Rivas should probably win some damages from where I sit...?

And that in 3+ years (if Lebedev/Jones is an indicator), it will be turned to a No Contest.

He has already failed. What is in the future for Whyte? Won't it be like a 3-year ban? Or, I should say, isn't it supposed to be?

I think you're spot on.They could even have it in writing that said fighter won the title clean or with PEDs.

Almost certainly has a case, but less certain they have the funds or the will to follow it through the courts. And it would be a huge distraction if Rivas gets a shot at Wilder...

i can understand fighters early in their careers failing tests in certain circumstances.... they aren't as educated...they don't have the finances to have team around them to be in top of everything.

However you need a bloody good excuse if you are earning PPV money
so far we have a single story from Thomas Hauser so remains to be seen what the facts of the case are ( I'm not too sure whether there have to be certain levels of some substances to "fail" )

But if he truly tested positive then the fight should be called a NC

but let's not be naive enough to think this hasn't happened before in the the rest of the world. I'm sure VADA have had plenty of results swept under the rug....not to mention the complete lack of testing that goes on anyway. VADA does not always mean VADA 365

He's just worried that his 10% cut from potential PPV fights with Joshua, Wilder and Fury has gone up in smoke.

Haven't you heard, he's been suspended by the WBC for a positive sample.

The reason he was stupid enough to take and get busted was that this was a literal make or break HW fight for Whyte AND Hearn on the back of the Great June Revolution.

    yes I have heard
but WBC have not absolute in their comments "adverse findings"

your second paragraph is just an opinion not a fact
that's the funniest thing about this board so many people spout opinions ( which is great ) but they spout them like they are facts ( which is funny )

He's got a case. There's potential for criminal negligence here.

I imagine they will have plenty of "no win no fee" offers from the ambulance chasers.
