Not even sure it's a massive waste to be fair. He's certainly very good but honestly, all his fans ever mention is that Lemieux fight. If you'd never heard of either you would assume Lemieux was some absolute legend the way people go on about it. His last fight was rubbish, he barely beat Akavov, snuck past Eubank and Lee. Plus he's a complete clown, and a drug cheat!
I thought Frank was largely spot on in that interview- Rivas needed to be aware of the failed test and how to proceed. Questions also for Sky in all of this of when they knew and who in the organisation green lit the fight for PPV.
Weren't they banned due to improper behaviour rather than doping or anything that may have actually put anyone at risk?
You've missed the point somewhat. Warren preaches about doing things the right way, safety first, how he is singlehandedly responsible for the BBBC improving safety at fights. The fight was not sanctioned by the BBBC and therefore did not have the safety measures that the BBBC put in place. If something had occurred during the fight, he would've found himself in a very difficult position.
Regardless. You can bet your bottom dollar that if frank didn’t have to tell someone some bad news he wouldn’t. They’re all as bad as each other.
Totally agree just can't see the link between fighting in another country as someone is knowingly banned and secretly fighting despite a failed drug test. There are still many people in the world who want to endear to politicians, promoters and general cash moguls but the matter of the fact is that they are all snakes.
He might not yet be a household name, but he does decent ticket sales. His fight vs Corcoran in Cardiff was well attended. Also he took a decent away following on both occasions when he fought Liam Smith. I was at both of those fights, and I'd say he took around 600 to Manchester and Newcastle.
That's the point, they didn't fight in another country. They fought at West Ham in a fight sanctioned by Luxembourg as they could not get it sanctioned by the BBBC. So if everyone followed Frank's lead there would be no point in the BBBC existing, everyone could put on fights sanctioned by a completely random commission who's safety measures don't come anywhere near the BBBC's.
**** I thought it was in Luxembourg, I stand corrected and agree with your point sir. That is hypocritical.
Bang on the money there. BJS is still dining out on dodging a punch against a past his best Lemieux, a guy that two years earlier was absolutely obliterated by GGG. It's getting on for two years since that fight, BJS has fought a 41 year old Ghanian journeyman and then a total nobody for the vacant WBO SMW strap since, the fact that he has a belt is a complete joke and makes a mockery of the division, especially the way he won it.
