Crossroads showdown featuring a pair of British middleweights at very different points in their career. Fowler is looking to distance himself from his upset loss to fellow unbeaten prospect Scott Fitzgerald in March, and regain some of the luster he carried over from his stellar amateur run. Rose is just looking to bag one more big domestic scalp as his own time in the ring winds down (his last important victory over a countryman was Sam Webb, in 2012, for the BBBofC 154lb title). The vacant WBO Intercontinental middleweight title will be on the line. Airing live on Sky, in the main event.
Aye but I'm still rooting like mad for the Blackpool man to score the one in a billion fluke kayo.. Hell, will gladly take a chintzy stoppage on cuts, too..even a DQ..
True. I honestly don't think Rose has anything left to give, to the point that a moral victory would be him hearing the final bell. Whether it's at 154 or 160, a fully focused Fitzy would give Fowler that work again.
I think a lot of people already decided that during the Fitzgerald match but yes anything other than dominance here means he's even more of a bust than Jason Quigley.
