Nope this not a 50-50 fight. Whyte has 2 options to win Rivas has one. If Rivas knocks out Whyte it will be a upset, but not as big as the Ruiz fight.
"I do expect them to have a whole ton of factors stacked against Rivas though. Eg. referee, judges, commentary will be biased for Whyte ... and who knows what else." Unforgiven, Jul 5, 2019 Page 2, this thread. What did I tell ya ?
Give me a break... Gloves - Whyte doesn't have enough pull to get gloves signed off by BBBoC but not Rivas' team. Alleged PED case is still pending investigation. Referee? for the most part was fair, and he gave Rivas all the chances in the universe to break down Whyte. C0mmentary? Rivas performance was unaffected by commentary. Judges??? Not one soul believes Whyte lost to Rivas, the entire forum agreed Whyte won by a clear margin and dominated the fight. He got knocked down (even though he tripped up) and it was counted as a knock down. Stop reaching bro.
Who knows the truth? Are we going to accept one persons account over the other persons???? How are we establishing who to believe? From user accounts and eye witnesses, the gloves that were unchecked by Rivas' team and used by Whyte, were cleared and sanctioned by BBBoC. Personally, if this is the case, that is ridiculous. Rivas' team should be allowed to inspect any and all gloves used by the opponent. But why are we crucifying Whyte over this? There is so much tension, and urgency, mental gymnastics in the minutes leading up to the fight, everyone is in a rush. Hearn was ring side, Whyte, for whatever reason, had an issue with his selected gloves. I'd like to hear Whyte''s response to Russ Anber's comments. But I am not blaming Whyte at this stage, but I am agreeing that Rivas' team was not given fair treatment by the BBBoC if Rus is telling the truth.
I actually had Rivas winning 115-114 .... .... but I watched the fight with Russian commentary (i don't understand Russian).
Russ Anber was there, why would he lie, he’s given his first hand account of what happened. I’m not personally ‘crucifying’ Whyte over this nor Hearn but the BBBoC’s handling of this is amateur.
We have a thread for corrupt judges going on, you should be listed on that, but lucky you ain't judge!
Why would Rus lie? I don't know, why would Whyte lie? Seems we are already drawing lines in the sand and accepting one testimony over the other. I am not saying Rus is lying, I find him to be trustworthy, but he is still a canadian boxing promoter, and Rivas fights out of Canada. Like I said, if what Rus said is indeed true, then yes BBBoC are amateur, but it seemed mostly a one off case, as Rus has not encountered this before in dealing with BBBoC
Yeah, but my "PED" policy is "let them do want they want" .... so I have Rivas winning BUT Whyte wins on split decision and I let him off with the PEDs and he lives to fight another day !
