Now that both men are gone, what would this fight have been like at 140? who takes the win? what are your thoughts?

Irrelevant, Floyd is levels above Zab.

So what? Floyd beat the **** out of all those guys. He also won titles at 147 and 154. I don't think Tszyu could do that

Irrelevant. Also Tsyzu has lost to guy who are inferior to Floyd.

This isn't a pick em fight. Floyd would be a solid favorite.

I would pick Mayweather to win a clear decision over Tszyu in around 2004/2005.

The Tszyu of the late 90s/early 00s against the Mayweather of 2004/05 would be a closer fight.

Tszyu outboxes Mayweather to a 12 round UD. Possibly a knockdown along the way.

PBF by UD. Zoo isn't stopopng him and he's not outboxing him PBF by UD is the only logical choice here.:deal

What makes him say that you ask? A lack of understanding of the sport he fails to realize the fact that PBF is superior to Zoo in almost every department except power.

You can't neccesarily say that. He was at his peak physically and mentally when he was at 140.

I thank PimpC for his ridiculous assertion that I lack any knowledge of the sport.

Why do I think Tszyu UD?

Tszyu was never outboxed for an entire fight during his entire career. He had a stellar amatuer career and could box with anyone. (If anyone goes on about the first roudn of the Judah fight, then they are a fool. It is a stupid way to judge the fight. Mayweather was out boxed in the first three or four rounds of his fight with Judah too. Then Mayweather figured him out. Tsyu started to figure him out by the end of the first with that body shot, and then proceeded to stalk Judah in the second round. He twice landed big power shots in the second. Judah didn't start backpedalling because for no reason in the second, it was because he felt the power of Tszyu at the end of the first). Tszyu figured people out.

There is no question that Mayweather is (was?) a superb boxer, with fantastic defence. However:

    * Mayweather wouldn't be in Tszyu's face. He was too smart for that. He would be moving back and attempting to counter. The fight would be at midrange.
    * Kostya was fantastic, incredibly accurate at midrange. To suggest Tszyu would be shoutout, or lose a wide UD is ridiculous.

Whilst I don't think a Mayweather win is unlikely - I think it 60/40 for Tszyu, I see Tszyu UD as the most likely outcome. Though have no problems with intelligent posters disagreeing.
