UKAD are the dog and BBBofC are the tail bud. UKAD dish out the bans/suspensions and BBBofC follow it.

Nothing has changed. Sky have only been pushing that VADA news (which we already knew) to make it seem like something has changed but it hasn't.

A sample failed. B sample either hasn't been requested or somehow hasn't been tested. The fact UKAD STILL have yet to properly respond is disgusting

I'm probably living in hope that both UKAD & BBBofC would stand firm as if not they lose a lot of credibility. Maybe I'm overlooking the fact that boxing is rotten to the core with corruption and this will likely all be swept under the carpet

You mean the 15h, that apparently is when VADA tested Whyte and it was clear. He was busted for UKAD on the 17th June.

2018 was the year he suddenly became a big puncher. By then he had been involved with the Loughborough university and their lab guys for about 2 years.

There’s that much spin, and that many people amenable to the spin that they can ride it out. Some will argue that it’s quite similar to Fury really. However, in that case they managed to at least get Fury to accept a backdated ban and people like myself (i’ll hold my hands up) were happy to forget about it and move on.

Anyone with a good fan base can get away with it in the long run. And even if guilty , Whyte will be no different to this.

Exactly. The average fan who follows boxing through the Sky Sports Twitter account and might buy a few Joshua PPVs and Bellew vs Haye 1&2 isn't going to know the differences between the various governing bodies.

Sky and Matchroom's intention was to alter the perception of people - and it appears to be doing it's job. Good crisis management, muddy the waters as much as possible.

By the sounds of it they have. From what I understand Whyte has gone into a hearing with the board and UKAD, he has shown them his clean VADA tests and they have let it go.

Now Whyte and matchroom are lawyered up so they can never reveal the result.

UKAD should just get shut down and forget about it now.

    https://www.espn.co.uk/boxing/story/_/id/27262881/ukad-cleared-whyte-failed-drug-test

Whyte (26-1, 18 KOs), 31, of England, and Rivas (26-1, 18 KOs), 32, a Colombia native fighting out of Montreal, also were enrolled in Voluntary Anti-Doping Association drug testing for the bout, something Whyte has done for several fights. None of those tests were positive, including samples taken June 15, which is why the WBC, which works closely with VADA on its mandatory Clean Boxing Program, was not informed of the positive UKAD test.

I think the question is more can he get away with it.

There's been loads of cases where athletes have got away with it with smart lawyers/doctors etc.

    Hopefully that's the case here.

Why do you want him to 'get away with it' if he's done something wrong? I like Whyte, but the rules exist for a reason. If he's broken the rules on PEDs, he should be punished.
