Fury nope, he's gone a-milkin' with Arum in the big break he always wanted so now he's making the most of it.

Wilder, I'd rather his opponent was 20 years younger and had the second name Whyte but it's not as bad as it could have been.

Here is an example. Ali lost his lineal belt after his ban and he never lost in the ring during that period.

Doin't be surprised if Ortiz Wilder falls through

Wilder and Fury are locked into and focused on their fight early next year.

He was still lineal in that time. He only lost his titles.

The same way that Spinks was Lineal after the Holmes fights

No he wasn't. Frazier won the vacant lineal belt in the Jimmy Ellis fight. As for Spinks, he continued to fight, albeit not against strong opposition.

Why? Who says? The general view is that the only ways to lose the Lineal title is to lose.

Die or retire the title stays with you. Look at Tunney, Lewis and Marciano.
Spinks, Ali and Fury were all undefeated at those points and so were lineal. As was Louis before he came back for Charles.
Fury hasn't lost it and in his absence Joshua and Wilder never fought so a new line wasn't created

If this is PPV then I never want to hear a word out of frank warren’s mouth again. I accepted on another thread that I was fine with a warm up fight but this is embarrassing, why not Miller or Martin? Something with a bit more spice. What are we actually gonna be tuning in to watch?

There is no rule that says the only way to lose the lineal belt is to lose. Secondly Joe Frazier was universally recognized as the Heavyweight champion of the world against Ali. Thirdly Fury was more or less a retired fighter during his absence, so he vacated the belt.

It litterally means the man who beat the man

So the rule is to be beat, that by definition means you have to lose

Think you have to wait for Fury vs Wilder 2 to see at least a regular attempt of knockout cause before that and after having beated the swedish "promise", Fury should fight with the spanish, or the french or the italian "champ"...loll
