    Mcgregor never beat depression though.

Fury is clear head and shoulders above Mcgregor. literally.

That’s a fair point, but the problem is he has propelled himself back in the limelight now with that wilder performance, so this just looks like a step backwards when it doesn’t seem to be necessary fighting these cans, he is in fairly good form. Its like breaking into the top then hopping back again for no good reason. He would have got away with it if he laid low fighting comeback fights for a while but he didn’t, which was a great thing, but this move is in danger of undermining that great performance.

I actually wasn’t bothered until now, I guess many weren’t, but this next fight seems even worse than The last numpty, it’s utterly pointless. If the wilder fight is set in stone next, or at least a tougher opponent I guess he will get away with it. Still a dangerous game though, he could at least have stepped it up a bit. He should expect a lot of flack, I hope the fight tanks personally.

Yeah, agree. Fury's mouth is already undisputed World Champ; the quality of the talk and the quality of the fight have to be in the same ballpark. But don't get me wrong: this fight is ****.

    Tyson Fury disappoints me.

He should never criticize other boxers' opposition after this one and his previous opponent.

Back in the day, a fighter would tease something like a Joshua fight and we'd have to settle for Miller.

Fury teased a Miller fight and we have to settle for a complete nobody.

It's extremely disappointing, but if the Wilder rematch is next then I can stomach this.

Fury really did try something huge by taking on Wilder so quickly after his comeback -- I think he deserves some credit for that.

It is weird that the rest of his competition has been so goddamn bad though.

And if he doesn't face Wilder next... It will be pretty unforgivable.

Kudos to Wilder for taking on much stiffer competition in Ortiz.

Lets be honest, it doesn't matter whether it's Wallin, Whyte, Pulev etc. he beats them all. The only fight that matters is Wilder and if it can't be done then he can fight whoever until it gets made.

I think Fury's going through my original Educate Yourselves threads from 5 years ago, one by one, and picking all the Euro level guys that managed to still have their 0's.

His cousin fights real contenders unlike him. He fought Parker, Pulev and now Povetkin.
Fury is a great talker. But a veteran 40 year old Klitschko in his 68th bout is his only top ten win.
I cannot believe that he is able to fight the number 56 in the world and the number 48 in the world as part of that five fight 100 million dollar ESPN deal.
You can only a judge a boxer on who he fights. Wilder is his only top class opponent in 44 months. So I rate Wilder, Ruiz, Joshua, Whyte above him.

Seriously boxrec rankings? David Price is at 19, Tomasz Adamek at 22 and Dave Allen at 34 are examples of how inaccurate it can be. Also, Fury beats all those mentioned anyway.

I'll tune in hoping beyond hope that this Swedish Cab Driver can drop Fury like a Big Oak Tree crashing to the canvas... It's possible considering a Canadian Cab Driver hurt Fury several times and so did several other guys over the years!

FrankenFury teases everyone with press releases "Fury vs Miller and Fury vs Martin almost a Done Deal for September" then they drop the real news ... "Fury vs Wally the Beaver set for September"

    lmao but very sad indeed...
