Ray Mercer vs prime George Foreman

George ,he does everything better.

 

George. It takes more than a good chin to beat him, you need to outsmart him somehow and I don’t think Mercer ever proved he could against an atg like Foreman.

 

Goerge by hard fought decision.Mercer with that right guard and decent would have somme success

 

An in shape Mercer would have a chance. He had a better chin than Lyle and hit just as hard.

 

Big George is one of the few fighters who might actually stop Mercer. Might look a lot like Foreman-Chuvalo. Mercer is not really any better or more durable than Chuvalo was.

 

Foreman probably by stoppage as Ray's face is turned into a bloody mask.

 

Would be a war .Mercer was a nutter and as hard as nails .He genuinely didn't give a **** .Foreman might be the one to stop Ray who knows? I do know that Mercer wouldn't be intimidated and hit hard enough to cause an upset .brutal stuff !!!!

 

Mercer would be overwhelmed by blunt trauma.

 

Foreman stops Mercer by t.k.o. probably still on his feet but pretty hurt, I agree with what somebody else said here would look like his fight against a chuvalo with a good jab.

Can't agree more with this . Mercer certainly had balls ,he'd have gone in against Foreman to trade punches .
He took Lewis s shots so could he take Foreman s ?
Well Foreman wouldn't have been trying to out point Ray that's for sure and Viice versa .
I'm going to go with George , who after getting clouted by Mercer , really steps up the power shots .I recall Mercer s Chin takes it but his face doesn't . After 6 wild rounds , the ref stops a bruised and battered Ray from coming out for any more punishment .

 

No Chavalo did better v Ali than Mercer would have.

 

Lyle was a better counter puncher than Ray and punched as hard as Rahman and McCall.
