I just can't take to that Mick Conlan. Not just the pro IRA stuff but there's an air of arrogance about him even though he's done absolutely nothing yet as a professional and hasn't even impressed much either IMO. He might be able to pick up a world title in his career but that only means so much these days. I can't see him going on to be the best in any division. I'd love to see him take a loss and be taken down a peg or two. His brother Jamie seems a very likeable chap I will say.
The IRA stuff left a really bad taste in my mouth. Same as if any other fighter walked out to loyalist music. There’s no need for it, the majority of right thinking people here in NI don’t want anything to do with the country being associated with any paramilitary organisation. He may have thought it was big and clever playing up to the American Irish crowd but it just made him look like a tube. Frampton and McGuigan managed to get through their careers without any of that guff and that’s the way it should be.
Ditto mate - All terrorist scum and supporters (including IRA) sicken me. No interest in his career at all after the IRA Ring Entrance in New York.
His fights are always dire to watch as well. I don't usually post during fights cos I don't wanna miss anything but I'm not bothered about this. He's shíte to watch and couldn't punch his way out a wet paper bag.
The Argies' cornerman jumping up on the ring apron was the first bit of drama this fight has produced.
This career feels like a midget sized copy of Big Fraudley's career - a slow boring train ride milking all the mugths on the way while looking a pile of dog poo. Get the fooker in with Warrington early next year as he should win that fight if he is as good as people think.
Very soft stoppage that, Alexander was very quick to jump in there, plus that shot to the back of the head was naughty.
I wasn’t very impressed there. That shushing the crowd business, even though for a good cause seemed a bit condescending to me. Arum will have a sore arse hole in the morning from Dempsey and Bunce there. Jesus.
He'll be managed to a couple of soft titles, and certainly has the skills for it, but I've yet to be impressed by him. I just imagine he has his brother's durability, or lack there of, and will get busted up by a real opponent. I do hope he meets that real opponent sooner rather than later because none of his fights so far have been headline material.
I was out djing so missed this, as I have a lot of cards recently, really pleased for Keeler, he proved me wrong as I thought he'd lose that. I'm not sure where he goes from here, maybe on the undercard of a Conlan fight in the States against one of the fringe contenders?
By rights...based on their respective performances it should be Mick Conlan appears on a Luke Keeler undercard!!! Another inconclusive performance from Conlan. Still unproven.
