Skills pay the bills. Wlad or Vitali active today, and they'd be dominating just as much as the 00s.

Wlad took Wilder's soul in sparring, to such an extent, that afterwards Wilder actively ducked the fight.

He also career wise didnt step up for years until he fought Ortiz.

Wlad would have taken Wilder out very early.

Wilder was a very inexperienced boxer even after winning the title. His level of opposition has been fine since the Ortiz fight. It's not that hard to understand why he was moved that way.

Yes, Widler would've been smoked by Wlad when the fight had a chance of happening. Widler of today is much more dangerous and experienced though.

Wilder ducked Wlad for 3 years whilst Wlad was late 30s and Wilder was late 20s.. That should give you your answer.

I do think Wilder would've KOd the Wlad that AJ faced -- that version of Wlad was pretty shot.

Prime Wlad would've been fine though.

i don’t rate wilder against the kilts going by current evidence, he looked limited and beaten by a back from the dead Tyson Fury. His hard punch alone wouldn’t be enough, I guess he could hurt wlad but personally I think his lack of technique would get him out boxed early then knocked out. He was getting buzzed a few times when the lighter punching fury hit him, he wouldn’t be taken punch after punch from wlad imo.

I think Vitali Klitschko would have most certainly got Deontay Wilder out of there. He was what James Ali Bashir recently described as a "cowboy".

Wladimir Klitschko, on the other hand, was obviously knocked out by fighters of far lesser quality, so of course he would have been susceptible.

Vitali, maybe. Wladimir, certainly not. He was "cherry picking" his fights for years for a reason.

someone calling the Klitschko's stooges? Arm chair warriors....the best. Ask those that were ko'd/beaten by either Klitschko brother if they were stooges. If they are stooges how did it happen?
How did Washington....with his skill level.....beat him for several rounds with a jab alone? Wlad...even now would humiliate Wilder, and then mercifully knock him tfo.

Don't be silly. A face first plodder like Peter is bread and butter for a swift counter puncher like Ortiz. These clash of styles have played out many times.
Watch Stiverne vs Arroela for just one example. Ortiz vs Peter would play out the same way.

33 yo wlad beats wilder 8 times out of 10
    Vitali prob 9 times
41 yo wlad with wilder would have been a 50/50 fight.

If a check jab from Dustin Nichols floored Wilder (which it did) think of what one of the greatest jabs in HW history would do.

Wlad would take Windmill to school. Vitali would take him to nursery.

    There are levels in boxing.
