The guy literally looks like he has concrete in his gloves when he hits people.

    Frightening.

I mean, Inoue is CRUSHING world class opponents in brutal fashion. That gives us, at minimum, confirmation that he is elite. This is far beyond eye-test stuff.

Gonzalez is a very good fighter but we had seen him tested before. Gonzalez had already shown that the final climb in weight would be his limit as he was struggling before he fought Rungvisai.

Thanks a lot for your contributions to the thread. But it might be too soon to say that. Besides, you have to take a look at all opponents that Floyd and Inoue fought against.

No problem. I hear what you're saying. However, by the time Inoue was 15-0 he was a three-weight world champion whereas when Floyd was 15-0 he was still fighting toilet attendants, dog trainers, and pizza delivery men and Floyd had more amateur fights than Inoue as well.

18-0 Inoue is 12-0-0 (11 KO's) in world championship bouts and 7-0-0 (6 KO's) against former or current world champions and is arguably P4P#1 (albeit most rightly believe that distinction belongs to the great Lomachenko), whereas when Floyd was 18-0 he'd only fought in one world championship bout and was 1-0-0 (1 KO) against former or current world champions and had about as much claim to being a P4P top 10 ranked fighter as Paulie Malignaggi does for going down as one of the greatest punchers in boxing history.

It’s a tough one, we haven’t actually seen the best of him, he has been knocking top boxers out before he was able to display his boxing skill. I wanna see him taken 8+ rounds by a top boxer, but if he keeps knocking everyone out it doesnt matter

How about Donaire who Inoue is fighting with soon? Can he be a top opponent against Inoue as you mentioned above?

Donaire would have probably ruled this weight had he stayed but being past prime. It's not the prime version Inoue is facing.

I don't see anyone 118 that's elite. Donaire is probably his best opponent to date speaks volumes about the qty of the lower weights.

I think it's quite clear that Inoue is among the best in the business right now.

Since his fight against Narvaez (2 weightclasses up), who had only lost once when he stepped up in weight against prime Nonito, people said "this is his first real test" and repeated that until his latest victim Rodriquez.
It's true he never faced a real puncher in his career thus far, but that's just next on the list for him.

Who can beat Inoue that he would realistically ever face? Would love to see Inoue Loma which might sound mental considering they're 4 weight classes apart, but surprisingly Inoue has the longer reach by 2cm and Loma is only 2 inches taller than Inoue.

You might laugh at the idea of that fight but both men have gone up in weight I think they could easily do a catch weight fight. If you ask me there isn't really a bigger fight out there. Would Loma school Inoue and make him look silly, would Inoue destroy Loma like he has every body else. Who would be the stronger man? Who would be the power puncher? So many questions.

I think he's just now getting his proper due. He should've been on the P4P list well before he was.
