Warren's stable really is wafer thin. Dubois, Joyce and Yarde only headliners who'll be fighting, or hoping to be anyway, in the uk.

Obviously Dubois has a long time left in his career so it's not THAT bad but due to the lack of big names in the stable he's going to get some unfair criticism.

I think Dubois will swap promoters at some point as from what I'm hearing he's wanting much bigger fights made than Frank is and whilst that's not caused a major issue yet it surely will down the line.

Or put on surplus and fight above your natural weight . I like Dubois ,but surely they could have done better than this?

If Yarde wins in Russia then Frank has a big star on his hands, although I worry because the promotion for the fight has been terrible to date.

Warrington is growing in popularity but I wonder if frank can actually get him one of those big title fights to keep the interest up? Joyce is similar , needs to carry on fighting decent names to get anywhere as he’s not getting younger.

Frank has a few fighters but they’re all in the balance. Things could look great or terrible in a years time.

You answer your own point there about Yarde. A guy hidden away on BT Sport in a fight that nobody in the general public has heard of competing against Premier League football and the Ashes that weekend looks like a hard promotion. He could be a big star, but he probably won't be. I mean, he probably won't win, so what then? Back to non-entities presumably.

I'm a believer in the idea that if they're good enough, they're old enough, and the worry with Dubois is that his age is used as an excuse to line up a conveyor belt of average (and of course, dirt cheap) opponents. I can imagine Dubois getting sick of that; lets not forget, Frank repeatedly stated that he had no desire to make Dubois Gorman. If he thinks a tubby novice like Gorman was a possible step too far then he's sure as hell not going to be taking genuine big risks any time soon.

Is he? You answer that yourself. Nobody knows about the fight. So if he wins how does he become a star? Also Kov just isn’t known to the UK casuals.

I know Flanagan didn’t have a defining win like a Kovalev but he springs to mind. World champion with no real support. Yarde doesn’t sell tickets at the minute and I don’t think if he beats Yarde he suddenly starts selling out the o2.

He needs the Buatsi fight, something that would capture the British public’s attention.

He would absolutely obliterate Browne. 3 rounds easy work. Frank needs to be careful he doesn’t hold him back too much.

Yeah I know what you’re getting at, I was trying to see the whole picture as I wouldn’t say frank has a terrible stable.

I meant it more as in the win and the upset is huge in my eyes and Frank will have a very good world champion on his hands if he can beat Kovalev. Yarde looks the part and can talk a bit so the rest should be easy in theory.

Like I say, the lack of promotion is the worrying thing. 2 and half weeks out, no promotion or press conference, just nothing - very poor.
