Usyk Took a full forced counter from gassiev in round 4 and was clearly stunned, but gassiev is also a p4p puncher. Usyk was also down as an amateur against beterbiev if I remember correctly but his chin looks solid, especially his conditioning is great, that helps a bit. And lets not forget that he took a couple of good punches from bellew and briedies, who are both big punchers, especially breidies. Let's see the takam fight first to get an impression, but takam wont do anything for usyks heavyweight run, besides weight and pressure. Usyk vs pulev would you tell if he can be the top dog.
I don't know how any true boxing fan couldn't be impressed with Usyk. Sure, things may not work out for him at heavyweight, but it will be fun finding out. He's a great addition to the division. The only question mark is over his ability to take a shot from a full blown heavyweight.
After watching the type of pain Whyte inflicted on Parker and Rivas, do you think Usyk can handle that type of pressure? Body shots, right crosses, left hooks, more body shots. I don't see how Usyk is any more durable than Parker or Rivas, and those guys were in serious pain. Sure Usyk can dodge, but not everything, he was caught plenty by his previous opponents.
Yeah realistically speaking, Rivas is way. way more built then Usyk and he was struggling with the shots. Unless Usyk is made of steel bones I don't see how he can take those shots. It will be fun finding out.
Okay Dillian. I already said there's a question mark over his ability to take a shot from a full blown heavyweight...
He was down from the body punch against Beterbiev, but it looked more like he wanted referee to penalize Beterbiev for hitting low and tha wa the reeson why he took a knee. I don't remember though if that blow was really too low or not.
Cruiserweight division gets horribly overrated on here, definitely one of the weakest in the sport. Guys like Breidis and Gassiev have been hyped way beyond their actual levels. Blown up Tony Bellew became a CW world champ after getting smoked at LHW, says it all. Only Usyk has the chance to make any impact at HW, although I doubt it based on his style or attributes.
Let me guess: in your opinion tank beats lomachenko and canelo beat ggg twice, right? Go to school again and learn to be neutral and not an agenda driven hater. That's what's wrong with the USA. You have to learn to appreciate talent, no matter which skin color or religion.
Loma beats Tank, GGG and Canelo are 1-1. It has nothing to do with race, I am white. Stop being so insecure.
How can't you see the talent of gassiev, breidies, dorticos and usyk? Imo they are all grade A talent, usyk is A+
lol it looks like I am the only one in the world, who wants to see Usyk vs Whyte and Whyte vs Wilder But it is YOU people who dont want to see it, saying there is no point yadda yadda Whyte would get murdered. LMAO shame these guys ain't as confident as you. I don't see team Usyk or team Wilder calling Whyte's name out, ever, for the past 10 years.
Usyk said before the whyte vs Rivas fight, that he would fight whyte immediately. Usyk is for whyte a horrible style matchup. He would school whyte really bad. He would see whytes left hook miles in front...
