He’ll make out that they are being fair and respectful of Ruiz’s wishes when in reality clearly he dropped the ball on the contract clause.

Exactly - they're already trying to spin that narrative with AJ saying today he'll "fight in Mexico with Ruiz' uncle as the ref if they want". Just damage limitation at this stage. Obviously they'd want it in Cardiff and probably pulled out all the stops to get it there. The contract clearly wasn't watertight though and now they've got to do what Ruiz and his team wants. Quite right too in my opinion.

Don't think anyone has said Hearn has ruled out the UK. Hearn is gradually walking back from his earlier bravado about the contract being tight and the rematch taking place int he UK.

Of course AJ wouldn't want to give Ruiz any advantage by fighting in the West Coast, Vegas or Mexico.

I think MSG is reasonable enough, schedule permitting. Would love to see it somewhere unusual like Mexico or Nigeria though (horrendous logistics aside).

Remember when Hearn slated Hennessy and Fury for signing a rematch clause when they fought Wlad? The only reason why they signed the rematch clause for a mandatory shot was because they struck a deal without the need to go to purse bids. Hearn mocked them but look at him now. Being told what to do by a fat Mexican high school drop out. ****ing love it.

"I'd fight in Tijuana and Ruiz's uncle could be the referee and I would still whoop him." - Joshua

I would still whoop him... lol

It’s faux confidence. Although part of me wants Joshua to go full heel now and go bezerk at the press conference. Imagine if he started chanting “build the wall!” and just chinned Ruiz at the face off.

Odds moving rapidly over last few hours - Saudi Arabia is now the favourite at 4/6 with Skybet

I said this about a week ago, I don’t think it’ll be the U.K. or the US. I’m expecting somewhere random and Saudi Arabia sounds about right.

The fight would be on at a good time here so I’d be happy.
