I heard but I think Usyk is so boring I have no interest in watching fights were he goes to a decision...

You are not wrong. I am not super thrilled by Usyk like everyone else are. He is obviously a good fighter but something about him dont float my boat but that’s just me and few others i guess lol.

I find his style and form to be pretty ugly. I dont understand why he is so praised but whatever man.

Piping hot response as ever Bandeedo. Still waiting on that bit wherein you show me these other road warriors clearing out divisions away from home.

But that's exactly how Usyk fights (minus the negative connotation).

    Odd comment to make.

What's technically poor about Gassiev or Briedis? Gassiev has some of the tightest, crispest power punches you'll see anywhere in the higher divisions and great patience under fire, and Briedis is a very versatile all round fighter with brilliant combination punching ability. Even lesser feted guys like Michael Hunter have moved up and shown ability at HW. There's plenty of talent in the division, at least relative to HW, and I'd argue relative to LHW as well.

It is a very odd comment. It's boxing, and there are many ways to beat your opponent. By @Aydamn's reckoning, the likes of Sugar Ray-Leonard, Floyd Mayweather and Muhammed Ali would also 'run round the ring like a batty boy'.

I've had many interesting discussions with Aydamn, but thought that was a very poor response.

Ah, I see he's doing his usual tactic of constructing a straw man argument when realising he's wrong and arguing that point instead!

From the fights I have seen, Usyk does not run, he stands in medium range.

But if he does a Hughie Fury and forces Whyte to cut him off all night, then yeah he might have a chance.

Usyk does not fight like Muhammed Ali, I haven't seen Usyk dance around the ring popping the jab, I know very well how Usyk fights, and his tactics, I am just saying if that Usyk turns up how he did for Bellew, Gassiev, Joyce, Breidies, Hunter he will be in for a world of pain.

If he decides to do a negative, Hughie Fury/Helenius, reluctant to engage, then it will be a long night.

Life and death with war torn Chisora? And yet Chisora took many, many, world class opponents the distance.

The only difference is, out of everyone in the universe, Whyte is the only one who KO'd chisora. And it wasn't by luck either.

And Chisora is a top ten guy now, hardly war torn, took out Spilka in 2 rounds. Wilder in his prime took how many rounds??????????

The downplay of Whyte never ever ceases to amaze me, I guarantee if Whyte beat AJ, Wilder and Fury on the same night, somehow people like you would find a way to discredit it. Guaranteed.

Yeah Chisora maybe took a beating from Takam, but he didn't KO takam by luck, especially when he put him down TWICE, in the EXACT same manner. Something AJ couldn't do in 10-11 rounds.

Old man, 6 foot 2, TKO'd TAKAM, when 6 FT 6 JOSHUA COULD NOT, who dropped Ruiz and Whyte, Povetkin and Breazeale.

Give me a break please, dear god. Fury handled Chisora MERELY because of his height and reach, THAT IS ALL. Take Fury down to 6 foot 4 even... and he would struggle to keep Chisora off him.

    You guys are brainwashed.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dereck_Chisora

Go check WIKIPEDIA, how many guys has Chisora takent he distance???

Who is the only man to KO him??? So stop acting like Whyte went life and death twice, and that Chisora is somehow a weak opponent, war torn, faded.

    Yeah thank you. Class dismissed.

Usyk and Michael Hunter Jr. are my two favorite HW prospects and I honestly believe both will win world titles and could even see Usyk owning the division, but until it happens there's always gonna be a skeptical part of me or apprehension about it due to their lack of size, reach, and power. But Andy Ruiz just curb stomped a legit SHW monster, and what they lack in firepower they make up for with precision(which I consider more impressive.)

Not saying that - I'm just saying that your previous comment which implied (to me anyway) that boxing rather than brawling means he would "run round the ring like a batty boy" were poorly thought out.

    Different fighters have different styles.

I would say that actually he got his tactics spot on for Gassiev who is much more of a brawler and in my opinion a similar gameplan would work against someone like Whyte.
