LaMotta probably benefitted from a few fixed-fight wins.

He did business with the mob to throw at least one fight. It’s reasonale to speculate that the street runs both ways.

Anyone who thinks that wear you come from matters in a boxing match. Being European has **** all to do with skills, just as being Mexican, British, American or Cuban. Anyone who thinks otherwise is a

Why? Joe has a better defence, is bigger, quicker, more skilled and has a similar level of chin. He'd run Marciano around. Them fighting on the inside would be a thing of beauty but Joe would be getting hit less due to his better defence and landing more due to his better accuracy.

Marciano gets stopped in 13ish. If a Walcott and Moore can both drop him then so can Frazier.

what speed ? Frazier was a near stationary fighter with a thick torso and thick legs like tree stumps

    He wasnt made for speed

    the other problem for Joe,

    It's one hand against two

and defense, I didnt see much defense in the Ali fights. He got hit PLENTY!

    just watch the Foreman fights

Not a strange opinion at all, I'd say most fans or at least most hardcore fans will share the same opinion, especially since WBC added their 'Franchise' Champion now

Frazier hit Ali plenty and always caught him. He must of had some quickness to do that especially in that hook. It was like a whip that he could double up on. Under/Over and Over/Under.

The best fighter Rock beat maynot survive Jerry Quarry.

Donny Lalonde came pretty damn close to beating Sugar Ray Leonard back in 1988. Ray underestimated Lalonde's power, size and improving boxing skills. Ray had to dig deep to beat him and to this day Donny cites a misscomunication in his corner to 'lay back and box' instead of going for the stoppage in mid rounds as a big regret in his career. People forget that Ray made the reigning WBC Light-heavyweight champ come down in weight for that fight. Despite this, Donny was physically imposing himself on Ray for large portions of the fight and Ray looked very uncomfortable until the stoppage. Great underrated fight from the 80s.
