Where does Abraham go p4p???

PFP, Kessler is way ****in better than Author Abraham.

Author is a ****in SLUGGER.

People say that a guy light on his toes would give Pavlik trouble, but imagine what they would do to Abraham.

Abraham is not PFP anything.

He's just a bad match up for guys that go straight at him. He's a big, slow guy, that can punch and take punches.

 

It is a p4p in BOXING, as in "winning boxing fights", not a p4p in running around with a **** eating grin on your face.

You personal stylistic preferences mean **** all. Not to mention that your opinion of him is baseless.

AA is a top two in a competitive division. Sure he can be ranked on the p4p chart.

 

Look man, I know you and I clash on ideology, but just read what I write for a second.

Author Abraham, FOR THE MOST PART, unless it's against lesser opposition cannot box. Luckily for him though, at least in the middleweight division and as far as I know in the supermiddleweight division right now, he'll never have to box because he's such a hard hitter.

To go right at him is usually suicide.

So, while he's not a boxer, I guess he doesn't have to be.

Well, what if his opponent IS a good boxer. Abraham hasn't fought a good, young boxer yet. I mean a guy that can really move around the ring. You know, an instance of a guy he might fight in the future is Andre Ward.

Andre Ward can really box.

I don't see Abraham outboxing him, and he would be reduced to having nothing but a "puncher's chance" if he were to use his normal tactics and be a stationary target.

Ward would just tag him from the outside all night long.

So in order to adjust Abraham would have to come foward, out of his element and leave himself open to be hit. In order to beat a good boxer you have to throw a whole lot of punches.

But usually to pull something like this off, you have to have a good jab, good headmovement, and fast hands on the inside.

Abraham doesn't look like he has these characteristics. He reminds me of a stiff weightlifter who can knock your block off, but doesn't have much boxing skill.

So, to me, from a pound for pound perspective, he's just not versatile enough. But ****, put him up against a good boxer OR if he beats Kelly Pavlik even though the only way I see that happening is if Kelly goes right at him, then you could put him up higher in the PFP rankings.

Don't get so pissed off though.

How the **** am I racist like you say when I say Kelly Pavlik would beat him. To the best of my knowledge both Abraham and Pavlik are white.

 

Top 30, bottom tier, like 21st O/A.

 

Just because he has a title and beat Miranda doesn't mean he should be top 5 p4p..come on people. Let him first beat a bigger name and then we can talk. Does anyone who wins deserve this title now? Where should we rank Sergio Mora?

I struggle to see him top 20. Maybe, but definitely not top 15 for me.

 

11 or 12 for me.

 

Somewhere in the top 20

 

Just inside the top 25.

Spot or two ahead of Kessler.

 

Somewhere around no. 16-18.

Abraham is an intertaining fighter who moves well imo. He has kind of a Tyson style going (although Tyson had better upper body movement).

Regarding Pavlik and Kessler in p4p: Kessler's five best wins are better than any Pavlik opponent except Taylor.

So that looks like Kessler should be ranked higher. However, Pavlik has the added bonus of being American so I'll have to rank Pavlik higher. Result: Pavlik no. 7 p4p and Kessler no. 12-14 p4p. Abraham 16-18.

 

You would have to be a huge fan of him (or Pavlik) to have him at #8. Without looking at my list I think I would place him somewhere in the 18-20 range

 

Yeh well you are obviously from overseas! Pavlik deserves to be ahead of Kessler. He is the undefeated undisputed middleweight champion of the world for christs sakes. Last I checked Kess isn't holding ANY belts except for the vacant one he just picked up. Not to mention Taylor (X2), Miranda, Zertuche, McKart, and Zuniga rank ahead of Calzaghe (he lost a wide ud incase you missed the fight), mundine, siaca, andrade, and sartison IMO.

 

Why would knocking out Miranda move him up the list? Was Miranda rated in anyone's top 50 p4p?
