I've never had In n Out so can't really comment - my sister's husband is a Californian though and he loves it. I'm not massively into Shake Shack though. I don't like the fries which are very similar to the horrible microchips people ate in the UK in the 90s. I also think the burgers are a little dry compared to 5 Guys and about half the size.
