Are we forgetting the little but very vital detail that Manny actually sued Floyd for this, after realizing the accusations and counter-accusations went beyond mere hyping of a potential fight, in fact going so far beyond hyping that people, like you apparently, believed Floyd and his father's doping accusations? And, get this: Floyd actually settled.

Why would someone who was so "sure" Pacquiao was doping, suddenly settle a lawsuit, and voluntarily give someone else money because he ran his mouth off, apparently for no reason at all?

If Pacquiao did do PEDs, how come Floyd in his hour of truth and desperation, couldn't even manage to produce a single witness, a single evidence, something that would give an ounce of credibility to his tirades ?

You do realize also, that what Floyd did at the start was simply a result of envy, right? The boxing world was crowning another fighter as the king not long after he "retired."

And what better way to grab the accolades again by casting doubts on what Manny was doing with such surprising ease, bringing his power up against opponents deemed too big for him before.

You do realize Floyd used one of oldest tricks in the book, what Lyndon Johnson and his campaign guys did, right?

The shocking thing about this thread is not how wrong they got their predictions, but how polite people were to each other 11 years ago on here.

 

At the same time, Pac is deeply religious and he isn't fake. He's not one of those billionaire celebrity pastors who live in massive mansions and live supremely lavish lifestyles off of church money and appearances. Pac gives and gives and gives. And I think his obvious fear/worship of God would not allow him to use PEDs.

The reason Floyd settled is because he overplayed his hand and was engaged in slander, and that has legal ramifications. Look, Floyd is brilliant in the ring and self promotion but he’s dumber than a box of twice baked fecal matter in other areas.
Of course Floyd couldn’t produce any forensic evidence of guilt! Do you really think Manny allowed videos of himself to be taken while in the act? Assuming there were audio recordings of him confessing guilt to Buboy they’d be dismissed. Witnesses?! How do you think that works? In the middle of a public sparring session at the Wild Card Gym, Manny drops his shorts and bends over while Alex Ariza comes over with a syringe and needle and a vial labeled PEDs and sticks Manny in his ass? While saying, “Remember people, not a word of this to anyone!” Without some type of DNA evidence or a voluntary confession from Manny all other testimony of witnesses wouldn’t constitute legal guilt.
I agree with you about Floyd’s motives; he’s an insecure, hypocritical little man. Are you old enough to remember when he said he was going to dedicate his victory over Chico Corrales to battered women everywhere? But look at it like this; if Bill Clinton, who is a serial r@pist, accuses Donald Trump of adultery, it doesn’t mean the accusation isn’t true just because the accuser is a bigger POS than the accused.

Also Pac accepted tests unlimited urine test all throughout. And accepted blood tests 20 days before fight and immediately after the fight. He said he didn’t want to take blood test so close to the fight because he felt it weakened him, a superstitious man that he is. And we have proof of this because he blamed his loss to morales 6 years prior to a last min blood test for hiv or whatever they were testing for.

So pacs story adds up.

Now explain to me why a fit athlete like Floyd has ultra low t/e ratios and injecting illegal iv to mask peds the night of the fight and didn’t u form team Pac despite it being in the contract, and only got a TUE 20 days after the fact from USADA and not nsac who had the authority to grant that?

The latter is evidence or as they call it a “smoking gun”, the former is nothing more than housewives gossip.

Floyd was doping. And I assume he was doping for quite awhile before the Manny fight in 2015.
Ask yourself this: do you think the way it all played out makes Manny look better or worse? What’s the worse that would’ve happened if Manny had agreed to Floyd’s demands for stricter blood testing and they’d fought in 2010? That Manny would’ve been schooled?
What changed about Manny in the 5-6 years that when he was at his best he refused but after KO6 he accepted? Did Manny lose his superstition?
The reality is that neither man wanted the fight when it was at its highest point. If Floyd really wanted to prove he was goat he would’ve fought Manny no matter what. Even if Manny was on gear, Floyd still would’ve been taller, had better reach, better skills, less wear and tear and been bigger. Floyd didn’t want that work.
If Manny really wanted to defend his honor and show goodwill to boxing, he would’ve agreed to the stricter testing and called Floyd’s bluff. Instead he lawyered up. Manny didn’t want that work. It is what it is.

 

Dude, I'll be honest—I didn't read your entire post, but Pacquiao is on video saying that he felt weakened by giving blood on fight night against Morales. I mean, this is on video. Athletes are very superstitious creatures of habit. I mean, take baseball. Pitchers with gargantuan salaries who are at the summit of the game will be crazy about things like never stepping on the first base line when walking back to the dug out. You will literally see them pause before jumping over the line. Will it impact their game? No! But they're still not touching that line no matter what.

Pac did not want the last 3 weeks of camp affected by giving blood—of which the number of times can be any number. Also, it was about ego and Pac had literally conceded everything to Floyd despite the fact that he was at least as big as Floyd—or bigger—at that moment in his career. Pac gave up top billing, first on the scale, and first to the ring. These things matter with superstar athletes with egos. And what's the way to get someone not to do something? By offending them. Floyd openly and very publicly accused Pacquiao of cheating. I think that Pac should have just accepted the no cut off, but I understand why he didn't. Regardless, Pac was willing to take unlimited urine and give blood immediately after the fight. Pac couldn't have benefitted from juicing 3 weeks out from fight night. Fight week is media obligations and light workouts, so that affectively leaves 2 weeks.

Pac sued because he was clean. Notice how Roach outright accused Marquez of doping, Marquez threatened to sue, but never did. Notice how Canelo/GBP threatened to sue after Golovkin went nuclear on Canelo (citing the visability of injection marks even) but never did. Why? Because neither guy was clean and the last thing they wanted was to invite that type of scrutiny.

Vindicate himself from accusations that cost the source millions just for saying them? Isn't that literally the vindication?

The moment Floyd settled out of court it should have been obvious these were no more than the mere ramblings of a jealous guy. But in this day and age of the internet, regular people have become much more jaded about matters. They tend to take everything with a grain of salt. Thus the calls along the lines of Pacquiao "should have vindicated himself" and such. But remember the rift between Manny and Ariza? If Manny was indeed doing PEDs, who would have been the likeliest guy to do it? I find it curious Ariza never made mention of anything about it. Not even as an anonymous source now, when he absolutely has no boxing racket that I know of.
