Not watched a second but im assuming he is reading off a script?? He needs to get on the HGH big time and blow his tank in 3 rounds and hope Ruiz is on the canvas..... He HATED not being able just to take a round or 2 off in the middle of the fight to re-gas ....If Ruiz fights the same there is only 1 outcome imo
Thought he came across well - looked hungry for the rematch ... & for the big fights after that. Ruiz loss could be a blessing - brings the bigger picture into focus in terms of legacy. After he’s KO’d Ruiz, hopefully AJ vs Wilder/Fury late 2020. (Fury win though).
I gave AJ a good chance in the rematch until I rewatched the first fight today. There's absolutely nothing wrong with AJ in the first three rounds of that fight. He looks in shape, he looks as loose as he can be, he's varying his shots, moving his head and his workrate is solid. He actually boxes quite well. The problem is Ruiz just boxes better. Ruiz takes the centre of the ring and pushes the much larger man back. The difference is Ruiz is happy to ship a big shot to land a big shot and he's content enough in his gas tank to push the action. That's why the much smaller man takes the centre of the ring. Don't buy the rubbish that AJ lost his killer instinct. He lands several big shots on Ruiz and the fat Mexican eats them like an extra large cheeseburger. The left hook that puts Ruiz down is from hell and AJ tries to end it there and then - hardly the actions of man who has lost his killer instinct. The problem is that Ruiz is just an extremely tough man with a granite chin who fights his way out of trouble. He catches AJ in a vulnerable area and AJ can't fight when he's hurt. The fight becomes an easy night for Ruiz. To summarise what I'm saying; there's no more to the first fight than meets the eye. Ruiz is just a better fighter in every aspect bar physical size. He's more of a natural boxer, his hands are faster, his feet are better, his chin is better, his gas tank is better, he's tougher; his shot selection is better and the list goes on. Now, it's heavyweight boxing and AJ is a killer so he always has a punchers chance. But I think Ruiz's ability and style are too much for Femi nine times out of ten. Stop looking for excuses, the truth is before our very eyes and IMO it'll be repeat because AJ ain't getting much better than that first fight.
Spot on.....Ruiz has been fighting since he was 7 and thats the first time he hit the canvas...He didnt look hurt and has said since that he wasnt ....For me the key for Ruiz was he did not let AJ take them middle roounds off to re=gas....i just see the exact same fight second time around
It's certainly possible for Joshua to catch and stop Ruiz but if he does so it's merely a stay of execution for him. AJ's recent comments aligned to his post-Klitsckho remarks tell us all we need to know. He doesn't really want to be in there, he doesn't have a full motivation and willingness to go to the well. Fury or Wilder would both destroy him, albeit in different ways. I suspect Ruiz will end his top level career by beating the **** out of him, but if AJ wins a more brutal evisceration awaits.
The Telegraph are reporting this as being a done deal for 7th December in Saudi Arabia. Announcement being made today according to them.

Yeah but not every short compact pressure fighter is built the same. AJ and Ruiz Jr engaged in heavy exchanges and Ruiz Jr got the best because of his speed. He also has a lot of power. So if Usyk got into those exchange with AJ who would come out on top??? Usyk never fought a large heavyweight like Joshua who has excellent punch technique and accuracy
