Timestamped. Uncle Sam saying he hasn't heard anything about it at all. Someone on here just made a thread saying Ruiz hasn't mentioned the fight announcement...could be something fishy going on

Well of course he is unaware of the date, venue and deal because he has no say in it. He signed the contract and rematch deal when he signed up for the first fight.

Ruiz retweeted DAZN's announcement of the fight, and has since obviously had a word in the ear and now removed it.

Satanist Al Haymon up to his old tricks again.

This is silly. Ruiz may not have read it but of course his manager did.

Sam really want us to believe Matchroom, the Saudi money men, Sky, DAZN all have given the green light to announce the fight even though one fighter hasn't agreed to the fight? That's just ridiculous.

A rematch clause in a contract for Fight A does not mean the fighter doesn’t have to sign a contract for Fight B, the rematch.

There has to be a firm contract with details about when, where, $$$, etc., for every fight. That would not be a clause in the original, and the original certainly didn’t say “this date in December at this venue in Saudi Arabia for this price.”

Exactly - people on here and twitter talk about this as if they've sat down and read the entire contract. No one, outside of those organising the fight, has any idea what the exact rematch clause states.

Seems like the last couple years there has been several big fights that have fallen thru over there including Pacquio but they all fell thru because of a lack of funds from those supposedly promoting the events, hopefully that happens here as well and the fight can be moved to a more appropriate location.

Latest reports are that Andy Ruiz wants more that the £8 million originally agreed to face AJ - and has refused to sign the contract.

Given the numbers the rematch will do, it should make more money that the original fight.

AJ who made £18 milion for the original fight is going to need sacrifice some of his slice to make it happen.

Maybe nothing’s changed then because he was probably unaware and had no say in the contract details and rematch deal when he originally signed that?
