    Tunney IMO proved he was more of a thinking fighter against the Manasseh Brawler. I'd lean on him to be a very superior thinker in today's game.

    Tough fight for Lennox to fight a big enough guy who had ring smarts.

    Lewis did not have the niftiest of foot work,but the problem for the Marine is Lennox was just so damn big. Lewis wasn't a galumphing false alarm who couldn't hit like Carnera, he could box and really bang and ,at some point ,after following the skittering Tunney around the ring he is going to corner him, take yet another jab to the face and absorb a sharp right cross then land his own much heavier right hand and the man that licked Dempsey is going to be gravelled .

    Tunney's chances of victory are the equivalent of Lewis suffering an injury serious enough that he can't continue.

    You'd have to fancy Lewis here, but Tunney would make it a lot harder than most here can imagine. He was a clever and durable boxer.
