You are making it sound like Walters is unable to compete at the top level.
Dude, Walters has pretty much retired.

This is just nitpicking a random fact to fit your agenda/narrative. Walters not having fought since Loma doesn't say anything about his ability.

A lot of people don't really consider Rigo to be Loma's big and significant win due to the age and weight class difference. Loma himself played down his achievement in this fight. But nonetheless, it's still a masterful display of technique from Loma. Making someone like Rigo quit is quite something considering that Rigo was once a top P4P fighter from lower class division.

This is a fight that Loma accepted because no other champion in his then division would want to fight him, including Orlando Salido who keep refusing deal after deal offered for rematch. I don't know if accepting someone's challenge from two weight class division considered unworthy, but many seems doing it nowadays. Canelo did it with Khan and Spence with Garcia.

Agreed. I do believe that Campbell is Britain’s most decorated amateur. The fact that he was in a 50/50 with Linares should give us some indication to his skills. It’s just that Loma is that good that many opponents simply get dismissed.

Not out of context. Many people thought Rigo would win. It wasn’t until after the fight that it became popular to say there was a size discrepancy. But prior, not many were saying anything about his size or age. I’ve never thought Rigo was all that anyways. But the consensus at the time is that he was top of the heap.

Its simple Tank is a definite future PPV attraction bringing in the TMT bucks , Lomo is the Boxers boxer he style and ability at this point are exemplary .
If Tank beats Lomo , he becomes a diety , If Lomo beats Tank , its buisness as usual .
The downside is the onset of Politics , some BS will keep this fight on Ice , keepin us the fans in the waiting room .

    Whao time out, pause....

I apologize in advance if this sounds patronizing; however, I’m not familiar with you and I value myself on being transparent with these subjects. Unless I’m mistaken “most” meaning majority of posters in this forum leaned towards a Loma win.

If there’s a poll that exists then we should reference that as testimony. The age and size difference was apparent and universally recognized by the majority of posters on the forum. Rigo has always been notoriously inactive and even his fondest fans admitted angst towards the fight. I’ll even go as far as stating that in my gym the vast majority had no idea why Rigo would call for the bout. I believe the implicit associations being made here are a result of few very profound conversations with posters that contradict your belief in Loma. Don’t devalue the facts and place all your faith in a comfort zone, Loma had some distinct advantages in that ring versus Rigo and the win was good, solid and respectable but not groundbreaking or earth shattering.

I wholeheartedly oppose your post unless you can prove otherwise. Your post = utter rubbish.

BTW this was my attempt at constructive criticism.

I find it insane that those propping up the rigo win as a great accomplishment when he was probably over 40 and inactive still refuse to give Mayweather any credit for washing jmm who was active and the #2 p4p at the time

The Pedraza win was a good win for Tank it was a good test and Tank dismantled him. Many people here picked Tank to be exposed by Pedraza. Now all of a sudden it's not any good it doesn't work like that.

Actually though sometimes it can. I think Pedraza is a good win for any superfeatherweight or lightweight. But sometimes wins are no longer good wins years down the line.

Remember when everybody thought that Bradley's win over Devon Alexander was a big win? At the time people did. But then it's not a good win anymore. Because people later realized that Alexander sucks.

It's no nitpicking. Walters was a hype job and quit because he was mentally weak. Boxing is just not a physical sport. It's more mental. Alot of fighters never recover after losing bad. It's a mental thing. My point i was making was Walters was never elite. U mentioned him as if he was. Stay on topic here.

Exactly. It's hilarious they are giving Loma credit for going the distance against him, but discrediting Tank for KO'ing him lol That's some clown **** right there. Proof they hating on Tank.

Yes he was at one time, but inactivity was his down fall. Fighting once a year hurt him. He fought Loma in 2017 and didn't fight again til 2019. Prime example of what I'm talking about. Also, Rigo was not on elite status by time he fought Loma.
