https://www.skysports.com/boxing/ne...wn-on-new-sky-sports-show-aj-the-untold-truth Very disrespectful from Anthony Joshua calling Lennox Lewis a 'Clown'. Considering all Lennox has done for Boxing and he was three time world heavyweight champion of the world. What are your thoughts on this? Is AJ bitter? Showing his true colours? Or just feel he needs to defend himself?
He doesn't question Lewis' achievements in boxing. He criticizes Lewis as a person and righfully so. Lewis was always EXTREMELY disrespectful to Klitschkos and AJ, and not because they were better boxers (hardly so) but because they were way more popular in the certain boxing scenes than Lennox could ever dreamed of. Klitschkos in Germany, AJ in UK.
LL comes across super salty when talking about any British fighter who hasn't come to him begging to be mentored by him. I don't like Joshua's personality but think he did well to go this long without responding to Lewis' continual sniping at him whilst giving Wilder as many passes as he could ask for.
Maybe Joshua should cut this whole anti-authority, no one can tell me nuttin' demeanor. It might hold him in good stead for his next bout.. There's nothing more cringy than a know nothing know-it-all. Vs Ruiz, you could almost hear the embarrassment in his voice when asking his corner for guidance when he was out of ideas.
About time he piped up and let it be known how he really felt. AJ needs to stop biting his tongue and start putting his foot down on all his critics.
Well, it's only took AJ about 2 or 3 years of constant criticism and rubbishing of his achievements by his 'fellow' countryman, Lennox Lewis for him to finally bite back. I think a lot of what Lennox has said has smacked of jealousy quite a bit to be honest which is a bit surprising, as Lennox's legacy seems to be growing in prestige over time and he is truly appreciated for his career achievements if not his popularity while still fighting. I don't actually think that Lewis has anything to be jealous about. He earnt generationally changing money and Joshua could never hope to match Lewis's achievements, after all, a growing number of boxing fans consider Lewis to be the best Heavyweight of all time and certainly matches up favourably against any Heavyweight that ever existed H2H. Would be nice to see them bury the hatchet and for Lewis to get behind Joshua as he needs all the help he can get.
AJ seems distracted. When he should be focusing on one man only - Andy Ruiz Jr - he's picking a fight with a retired ATG with nothing to prove. Appears to be in one of his 'angry' phases that he suffers from time-to-time.
Damn man. You've gone in hard there. Can you explain as to why you think this about AJ? Will be interesting to hear your thoughts on his career so far and his personality outside of the ring.
I think we can see Joshua get ratchet real soon but wouldn't say responding to Lewis' continual sniping is scummy. Lewis has been riding him for years now and that made a comment like this inevitable.
I've said my piece on here countless times, I've been saying he was a fake for years, that his whole act is a Matchroom manufactured facade, and I don't feel like going over it again. I'm just really good at reading people, and I've yet to be wrong. Many will say I'm arrogant or a kook for saying that, but I've written more than enough on this site for the last 6 years that backs up and shows I have a fairly astute understanding of human nature, or at the very least, far better than most.
Funniest thing I've read here, period. AJ ain't going to redeem himself like LL did. Also, a top six or seven ATG like LL probably could give two poops less about what AJ has to say about him.
