I get he will beat him but surely he should continue to be built correctly and learn the pro game. He’s fighting on 2 weeks notice in his 12th fight. In the last five year beside Loma who has fought better level opponents In their 12th fight?
Exactly. Yarde was also meant to fight this guy and was copping it along with Frank Warren. As you said, if Yarde cops the same amount of criticism then Buatsi should too and he's an Olympic medallist.
How can you give him grief over his 12th professional fight. Seriously I hope that fight happens inside the next 2 years. Buatsi is levels above Yarde in terms of skills but certain other attributes need to be proven, and that is why he needs those development fights
Tbf Ford has been at lhw for a few title fights now, so it's not like he's been dragged up from smw just for this fight. Saying that he's still a poor opp for buatsi
Sh*t or get off the pot. Hearn was claiming Buatsi would alienate Yarde if they were to meet, yet one is going away to fight Kovalev in Russia and the other is fighting a super-middleweight with 2 weeks notice. Yarde is backing himself up, when will Buatsi?
https://boxrec.com/en/proboxer/530351 Really????? Out of the whole world of boxing you picked one man. What is wrong with building a fighter there is no rush. Experience and timing is a big part of boxing.
I'll give him a pass if it's on two weeks notice, I only criticised the fight because I rate buatsi and just want to see him in a proper fight. I'm not saying he should fight for a world title but he is way better than the usual twelve fight pro.
BBBofC have ordered Buatsi to defend his British against Craig Richards. Unless he vacates the British and steps up to at least European level, if he doesn't fight Richards after this then the criticism becomes justified, if it's not already
