i never implied different. i can think of a few hof fighters who got in on the strength of their last few fights. my contention was with counting them as such right now to bolster another fighters standing.

Its a bit of a hard one.

Usyk has done more at cruiser weight but not even fought at HW so he may do nothing there..

But then how much sucess was the fact Holly was rioded so he could get up into HW? No way Usyk could do that today.

Really need to wait until Usyk retires..

    Evander Holyfield
CW accomplishments: Qawi x2, Carlos De Leon
HW accomplishments: Bowe, Tyson, Holmes, Moorer, Mercer, Foreman, Dokes, Thomas, Ruiz

    Lewis
HW accomplishments: Holyfield, Tyson, Klitschko, Tua, Ruddock, Golata, McCall, Morrison

    Tyson
HW accomplishments: Holmes, Berbick, Smith, Thomas, Spinks, Ruddock x2, Golota

There's a gulf in accomplishments between Tyson and the other two. Tyson might have been as good as them, might have been the better speaker and had the most exciting fighting style, but he failed to capitalize on it to the extent that they did. His resume looks cherry picked compared to theirs. Tyson had the opportunity to fight anyone he wanted but he didn't fight the best.

He didn't fight Holyfield, or Witherspoon in '88
He didn't fight Holyfield, Dokes, or Witherspoon in '89.
He didn't fight Holyfield or Ruddock in 90.
He didn't fight Holyfield, Bowe, Mercer, Foreman, or Witherspoon in 91. Fair play, he did fight Ruddock.
    92-95 he was in jail.
    96 He finally fights Holyfield.
97 he skips Lewis, Mercer, Moorer, Witherspoon, Foreman
98 instead of fighting Lewis or Moorer he fights nobody.
99 has the chance to fight Lewis, Ibeabuchi, Tua, and Klitschko but doesn't fight any of them.
00 Doesn't fight Lewis, Tua, or Klitschko again.
01 Doesn't fight Lewis or Klitschko
And then he finally fights Lewis and is done.

Look at all the names he could have added to his resume but instead he fought nobodies. He could have possibly added Witherspoon, Dokes, Bowe, Mercer, Foreman, Moorer, Ibeabuch, Tua, Klitschko, and possibly Lewis to his list of victories if he'd been more ambitious. That list of names he missed is longer than the ones he actually got.

Well, going by Evander's record I listed above, Usyk already has a slightly better one at Cruiserweight. But he's leaving the division at 32 instead of 26 like Holyfield. Can he beat the likes of Bowe, Tyson, Holmes, Moorer, Mercer, Foreman, Dokes, Thomas, and Ruiz before he retires? I doubt it. He'd basically have to beat Joshua, Fury, Wilder, Ruiz, Whyte, Kownacki, Povetkin, and Parker.

Exactly and I dont think he could even with roids lol

Evander had it harder given he was even smaller than Usyk where the cruiser limit used to be 190

Yep, and even though Evander fought until he was about 50 his last good win was when he was still only 38 or so beating John Ruiz. Even heavyweights don't have much success after 40. Usyk will be hard pressed to fit all that into the next six years.

He'd have to pack past and present champs back to back one after another without a break. I've only ever seen one run like that in boxing history. Jimmy Bivins unbeaten streak from 42' to 46'. Archie Moore, Ezzard Charles, Lee Savold, Bob Pastor, Melio Bettina, Lloyd Marshall, Anton Christoforidis, Joey Maxim...ridiculous.

If Usyk was taking roids he’d knock out every heavyweight there is. Lets be honest, Usyk would have to face naturally larger fighters than what Holyfield generally faced at heavyweight, so any accomplishment Usyk attains at heavyweight would be more impressive due to the size disparity.

It shows how weak boxing is today that this question can be asked with a straight face.

Usyk gas unremarkable wins against a few dudes.

I mean people go on "Oh he beat Gassiev and Bredis" well who are Gassiev and Bredis? They look like nameless goons from a James Bond movie.

Nobody is gonna remember these dudes? And you want to compare this Usyk guy to Evander Holyfield I mean are you for real?

Nah come on now this is getting stupid.

This guy is lucky he is around in an Era where America is at its worst in terms of boxing.

I'm telling you now if there was any good Americans around this guy would get exposed. It'd be jab jab jab slip and move Usyk head would be jerking back and forth like he was headbanging to a beat through headphones.
