Hello everyone. As a mentioned i need help from someone with good experience with different glove brands. Im like 6 foot 2 (im my country we use cm so it's 190cm) and 169 lbs(77kg). I just train because i like boxing and i have no intention to compete. Also im tired of 25$ gloves that get's destroyed after couple of months,i want some gloves that can last up to 2-3 years(if it is possible)(sorry for my bad english). My budged is 200$ no more than that. I also make a list of some gloves i think it's kinda good for this amount of money. Everlast Powerlock Traning Gloves(Lace up) Everlast MX Traning Gloves(Lace up) Cleto Reyes Traning Gloves(Lace up) Rival RS100(Lace up) (If someone thinks i missed some good brand for this amount of money,say it,also Winning and Grand are just too expensive for me) At the end i wanna say ONLY important criteria for me is DURABILITY.I want them to last much as they can and to chose most durable of those four. My brother had some Cleto Reyes Gloves that he paid a fortune for a few years ago, like £150 or something.. He also has some Twins Gloves that were probably less than half the price at the time. The Twins are still going strong to this day, the Cleto Reyes gloves not so much - I'm unsure of the particular gloves you mentioned, but Twins gloves are certainly very durable!
To the OP -- the ones you listed are all very good, Cleto Reyes trainers are very good,they run about $160-$180, at your weight get the 16oz or 18oz gloves, and they have a new foam that allows them to last 300 rounds. Great craftsmanship, but they have the attatched thumb which I hate.
All 16oz except for RS100 18oz. Everlast Powerlock Pro Training = one of the most comfortable gloves I've ever owned but they didn't last. Neverlast Lining was loose and a hole formed, foam started deteriorating. Bubbles on the punching surface. Everlast MX = and then these ones were the best Everlast glove I've ever owned Their version of Reyes but a little softer padding and much more comfortable thumb. Cleto Reyes Training gloves = I have a love hate relationship with mine. Beautiful quality leather, stitching, liner. The thumb/seam on my left glove has been painful from day one. Right thumb not so bad. Even after almost 2 years somedays the pain is too much and I have to take them off after every round. I don't think I'll buy another Reyes unless they change. Rival RS100 = not owned but tried in the gym for sparring. Surprisingly good even for synthetic. Wasn't too hot. Comfortable and soft enough not like usual synthetic plasticky feeling. Most durable out of these for me = Cleto Reyes. However you have to make sure the thumb is comfortable for you. If it wasn't for the discomfort would be my overall favourite but I like the Everlast MX more.
