Pretty simple. Happy to explain my picks. Muhammad Ali Joe Louis Lennox Lewis George Foreman Larry Holmes Wladimir Klitschko Joe Frazier Sonny Liston Evander Holyfield Jack JohnsonM Mike Tyson Rocky Marciano Ezzard Charles Jersey Joe Walcott Jack Dempsey Max Schmeling Floyd Patterson Riddick Bowe James J Jeffries Chris Byrd Ken Norton Harry Wills Max Baer Sam McVea Vitali Klitschko
Wladimir is grossly overrated IMO. Mine changes around a bit but this feels about right today- 1. Ali 2. Louis 3. Holmes 4. Marciano 5. Johnson 6. Lewis 7. Holyfield 8. Foreman 9. Frazier 10. Liston 11. Tyson 12. Dempsey 13. Wills 14. Walcott 15. Charles 16. Jeffries 17. Wladimir 18. Patterson 19. Norton 20. Tunney 21. Langford 22. McVea 23. Schmeling 24. Bowe 25. Baer
I' ll take a stab at it but in no order. Ali Dempsey Holmes Lewis Louis Liston Foreman Tyson Johnson W Klitschko Frazier Holyfield Bowe Jeffries Fitzsimmons V Klitschko Langford Charles Walcott Jackson Schmeling Patterson Tunney Marciano Jeannette
I have a feeling having Wlad at 6 and not having Dempsey or Marciano in the top 10 might cause a **** show
I'm selling popcorn for the upcoming war in this thread at $2.00 a serving and sodas at $1.50 per can Top 11 1. Louis 2. Ali 3. Marciano 4. Dempsey 5. Foreman 6. Holmes 7. Frazier 8. Lewis 9. Holyfield 10. Wlad 11. Tyson In no particular order Johnson Jeffries Charles Liston Langford Vitali Sullivan Fitzsimmons Baer Tunney Walcott Patterson Schmeling Idk who else to put so Leon Spinks at number 0
I actually put razor Ruddock below Leon . Razor was fun to watch but never achieved anything mindblowing where's Leon actually grabbed the belt .
An achievements list. Résumé for the most part, things like records and title defences are taken into account
Then I don't know why Jeffries is lower than Bowe or Walcott. I don't think McVea should be that high, but I'm not an expert of his career. Also, Fitzsimmons should be in top 25 definitely.
My Top 25 ATG Heavyweight List: 1. Joe Louis 2. Muhammad Ali 3. Jack Johnson 4. Larry Holmes 5. Rocky Marciano 6. Mike Tyson 7. Lennox Lewis 8. George Foreman 9. Joe Frazier 10. Evander Holyfield 11. Wladimir Klitschko 12. Jack Dempsey 13. Sonny Liston 14. Sam Langford 15. Ezzard Charles 16. Harry Wills 17. Jim Jeffries 18. Floyd Patterson 19. Riddick Bowe 20. Vitaly Klitschko 21. Jersey Joe Walcott 22. Gene Tunney 23. Ken Norton 24. Max Schmeling 25. Chris Byrd
Under general criteria of greatness and of this instant (may change any minute)... 1. Ali 2. Louis 3. Lewis 4. Holmes 5. Foreman 6. Wlad 7. Tyson 8. Frazier 9. Holyfield 10. Johnson 11. Liston 12. Marciano 13. Dempsey 14. Sullivan 15. Bowe 16. Jeffries 17. Vitali 18. Wills 19. Norton 20. Byrd 21. Schmeling 22. Charles 23. Walcott 24. Tua 25. Langford
Coz two wins over Ezzard Charles > 2 wins over Fitsimmons And 2 wins over Evander Holyfield > 2 wins over Fitsimmons His whole set of wins are good but not as good as Bowe's 2 over Holyfield or Walcott's résumé imo.
