I feel Canelo is getting better with each fight, but I know loads of fighters would have been picked to beat him, but I also include figghters from 168 and 160, 154 from today`s game and the past, can you think of interesting foe`s at those weights along with the obvious names too?

Hopefully the thread title stays as it is...To answer the question of Mark...

    1) I think Ray Robinson could be Canelo Alvarez at his prime IF he was Mexican guy with the read beard.

    2) I think Thomas Hearns could be Canelo Alvarez at his prime as well had he had a read beard too.

If AJ was a short pale Mexican with red hair with great counterpunching skills and defensive prowess, but with the gas tank of a scooter - he could be Canelo.

Edit: this is no longer funny because OP changed "be" to "beat" :( Sad ...

Do you think SRL could have beaten Canelo at 160?

Canelo would destroy Floyd at 160.

G-man had too much trouble catching Benn who was nowhere near as skilled as Canelo.

Too many to mention through history. Most recently, The fab four of the 80s, ODLH, Pernell Whitaker.
