Who was the physically stronger man in the ring between:

Holyfield...he bullied Mike Tyson around the ring and held his own in the clinches with Lennox Lewis ... neither of which is an easy feat

 

Johnson or Holyfield.

 

It's probably between those two.imo

 

Yeah, Johnson and Holyfield. Joe Louis is quite underrated in that aspect too. If I had to choose, probably Johnson but Holyfield was really strong for a relatively smaller man.

 

And the undeafeated prime R.Bowe.

 

Johnson appeared stronger in the ring than Holyfield (Douglas). I would give Holyfield (Evan Fields) the nod over everyone on that list though.

 

Johnson. The way he manhandled Jeffries was astonishing. Jack spent his youth baling cotton which built his grapefruit shoulders. His ability to muffle the inside game of the punchers he faced required excellent physical strength.

 

Holyfield > Johnson = Marciano > Frazier > Louis

 

Johnson. It was part of his style to be in dominant positions.
