Think it was Dana White who said Mike Tyson repeatedly landed those discombobulating shots on the temple or the ear.He probably thinks it's luck cause he had Ruiz hurt at the same time but there's enough examples of wounded boxers taking advantage of someone going in to finish em off.

He simply could have said he underrated the value of Ruiz. Maybe he and his staff wanna create a war atmosphere to rise the interest of people for the next match But in substance the next match remains 50-50.

yeah the Jackson one is incredible.Probably most famous is Manny v Marquez.
Here's my take on it.I think Joshua and Hearn pay too much attention to social media and that folk Inc myself were asking for Joshua to pull off a knock out on his American debut to impress and after dropping Ruiz he went in for the kill and ended up hurt himself.
AJ does not strike me as someone who can think for himself,he's also had Hearn telling him he's great all his career.

Far too much is made of the concept of concussion itself within Boxing. It's not the same as sustaining permanent brain damage or being on the brink of a KO coma within the fight. Sure it's not pleasant but *within boxing* sustaining a grade 1 or 2 concussion should be at least expected and doesn't mean you can't carry on, with skills largely undiminished. It's far more commonplace than you might think during a fight. Sure if you sustain a grade 1 or 2 at a normal workplace, then you go to the treatment room until ready to return. But these guys are pro pugilists who are accustomed to taking head trauma and impactful punches--It's what they do...they are Boxers. I recall Golota using concussion as an excuse to quit against Tyson; with many scribes saying...'huh?!, that comes with the territory...especially against Tyson'...' You think other opponents who fought on didn't sustain some sort of concussion against him? Including Douglas and Holyfield?'.... The word carries too much weight. Sure it's a bigger deal for a shop assistant girl who bashes her head... , and even in a fight , if there are signs that transcend a 'routine' concussion--the corner and ref should monitor and act accordingly. But a basic concussion is more common than you might think when a high level operator is punching you in the head. Most fighters aren't even aware and just view it as being involved in a tough fight.

'He could afford to coast and carry me for 3 rounds until he got his second wind and lowered the booms'....nah, it really doesn't work however it's framed.

Watch Ruiz fight. He doesn't just counter well, he punches with bigger guys well too. I just don't see AJ staying away from Ruiz all 12 rounds. I can see AJ being stopped while ahead on the cards.

He either stalks or jabs and moves. He tried doing both and got dropped doing both. AJ needs to bring a pillow and his teddy bear, because he's taking a nap that night!

I think all the momentum is with Ruiz. From the way AJ is talking, he hasn't come to grips with the loss. If he honestly believes he only got hit with lucky shots, he doesn't feel the need to do anything different in the rematch, he will lose again.

Yup. AJ has nothing for Ruiz. His power evidently isn't enough to keep him at bay.

Joshua is turning into a real clown, lately

Unless this is all just PR nonsense he’s told to say to hype the fight

Ruiz is a *****. It took him seven rounds to knock me out and I'm a total *****.
