Well he was shockingly poor in his last fight, his punch resistance, back foot game and stamina were exposed to an extent that was not yet clear when I made my Post.
Got to admit I was wrong, might still turn out to be atg but doesn't look that way right now

And if AJ ko's Ruiz in style in the rematch most will be picking him again,so why not wait until his career is over?

Takes a big man to admit when he was wrong.

If I am ever wrong, I hope to be as forthcoming with my mea culpa.

He's a big puncher we already knew that, it won't prove anything.

I would be more impressed if he outjabbed outclassed and outboxed him for 12 rounds without gassing like Lewis did to Tua.

But with Lewis you could always see the potential to be what he ended up being. I have a hard time imagining Joshua suddenly becoming a smooth coordinated boxer.
He seems to be naturally stiff and clunky, maybe losing some of the muscle will help but Lewis was 250 as well and never that stiff or gassed out that fast

Lmao the dudes picking a guy smaller than Kovalev to beat a 6”6 245 lb current world champion boxer need to get their heads checked. No doubt Marciano was tough as nails and had great power back in his day but he was fighting men a lot smaller than Joshua and was being dropped by them at times as well. Total mismatch AJ would spark him with the first clean right hand he landed, way too big and strong for 185 lb Marciano.

Marciano is the same size of an average light heavyweight. He’d get wrecked by any half decent 6”5 17 stone plus guy.

    That's a clown of a statement.

    Kovalev:

Kovalev is probably the smallest 175 lbr ever at his height and bodyfat percentage. Athletic guys that size and weight have forearms the size of his upper arm.

Kovalev did a same day weigh in for the Hopkins fight and he was 185. At that point he was probably still cutting weight and probably weighed a good few more lbs when he walked into the ring. Rocky Marciano throughout his career was around 185. They’re basically similar sizes except Kovalev is about a couple inches taller.

Jep Kovalev is more skinny. Like Charles was.
Nevertheless, his comment about trimmed down LHWs and the parallel BF24 universe is true.

If Joshua does his Ruiz-2 routine then Marciano gets beaten bad. Stopped. Yeah, he wasn't as aggressive as he could've been, but there's no way a slow, 5'10 guy with the arms of a bantamweight is getting past that power, jab and movement. Maybe if Joshua walked him down and made a mistake Rocky could win, but even then I see him taking too many flush combos and being stopped.

Marciano beating Super-Heavyweights is a pipe dream.

How the hell is a 5'9 fighter going to land an uppercut on a 6'6 fighter?

AJ is far better than Beterbiev and far more powerful, Beterbiev doesn`t have a clue how to fight a bigger fighter, he`s just a swarmer with no skill.
