Disagree somewhat. Obviously he wasn't an in fighter for any advantage, but he was very good controlling the opponent. His coach was actually a wrestler himself (Brusa).
I’m a huge Terry Norris fan ... I’ve never seen any good work from him on the inside. And it’s obvious he didn’t want to be there against a shot Donald Curry
Tyson didn't get beat up, he was just completely inefficient in the clinch, and did next tonothing. It was evident in nearly every bout he had. I also disagree on the Monzon mention.
Is not letting your opponent fight on the inside the definition of good infighting? Not being sarcastic at all
Good to very good, at times. Not exceptional, as he never boxed inside consistently, and never needed to most times anyway.
Definitely not "terrible" but Fitzsimmons was far from the best inside fighter, in an era full of inside fighters he prefered boxing from outside and in midrange.
