    Great heart, great chin.

But he was beaten from pillar to post

I doubt he's the same after this

All the criticisms of Yarde and Tunde were justified there.

He had never fought on the back foot before or against a top fighter - it showed. He was completely outboxed for 10 of the rounds.

Opponents who aren’t gona give him rounds - was it the 7th the furthest he had been before tonight? He was out on his feet, completely exhausted. He needs some durable opponents to take him in to them championship rounds.

Heart yeah, chin quite possibly. Kovalev was a shadow of his former self there.

Valiant effort, deserves praise for taking the fight, deserves praise for going to Russia, deserves praise refusing the step aside money.

Ultimately not a world level fighter.

    Heart and chin A+
    Brace as a lion.

I think Tunde should have stopped it in the corner, but it’s a hard, hard call.

I hope this hasn’t taken to much out of him.

He’s got some of the most important traits.. heart & chin, they can’t be trained..

He’s still very new to boxing to be in this kinda fight. Give him a couple years training n improving I think he’ll be a threat

He did better than I thought so credit to him, but I think the other champions do worse to him than Kovalev did. He had no answer whatsoever for the jab. He's bypassed the big domestic fights and I'm not sure he'll ever get to that top level so difficult to see where he goes.

He was nowhere near "beaten from pillar to post" for the entire fight. His inexperience showed but gee, colour me surprised. He was seconds from stopping Kov.

He did well all things considered and he's earned respect so good luck to him in the future.

Yarde has a great chin and fighting heart.

But he doesn’t belong at the elite level

That was a very old and shot Kovalev in there. By far the weakest of the champions.
Gvozdyk and Bivol would beat Yarde far more convincingly than that.

He really needs to get a jab to compete at the very top level.

    Correct
The lack of a decent jab cost him numerous rounds tonight

Yarde looks like a legit contender, but he's no match for any of the four champions, unless he makes big improvements and starts facing good opponents to gain more experience.
