Why would anyone want to see this fight? There's a decade between them.....
There's plenty of prime good fighters for Canelo to fight.

This. Kovalev’s hands aren’t as fast as they were 3-4 years ago and his timing has slipped a lot. I think he’d have a very hard time with Canelo at this point in his career.

Golovkin's jab is better than Kovalev's - minus the range. Canelo, having the experience of that, can easily slip into the pocket. Canelo has this in the bag.

As much as I hate to admit it Clenelo has a VERY good shot at beating Kovalev. Great defense and works the body well which is Kovalev's weakness. Kovalev doesn't seem to be able to go through the gears or follow the jab up with that laser beam of a right hand like he used to. if Clenelo survived the early rounds without taking too much damage he would probably rope-a-dope and stop Kovalev with body shots mid-late.

No it isn't. I've watched Kov. end fights with the jab. Kov's jab is much more multi-dimensional and he uses it in all kinds of angles. Golovkin's jab is pedestrian compared to Kovalev's.

Kovalev has the heart of a champion (although not the discipline) but the truth is that Canelo has an excellent chance of beating Kovalev, in fact I favour him. The guy has a granite chin and can definitely hurt an older Kovalev to the body.

Still a dangerous fight for Canelo at this point. I think Canelo gets Kovalev late with a body shot.

Simple millions would watch canelo fight a bag of sand! The rest of us would watch just to see our prediction of canelo running through him correct and confirm that kov is way past it now.

There’s no way Canelo beats the Kovalev we saw beat Yarde tonight. On top of the crazy size/length advantage, Kovalev actually has better stamina.

Canelo can't connect on Kovalev from mid -range like he did with Golovkin. He has to first pass through Krushers blast radius and that means walking through hellfire round after round. The fight would take years off Canelo. I wouldn't want to watch it.

Another factor is Canelo barely has MW power. He'd have to accumulate large volumes of punches to wear Kovalev down with body shots.
One Krusher punch is equal to 5 Cnelo punch in terms of power. Imagine the drain on his gas tank as he expends large amounts of energy trying to get close , then think of the thudding jabs on top of it.. Hideous match-up for Canelo.

What makes people think that Canelo will carry any serious power upto 175? Might be able to keep Kovalev off but unless Kovalev fathigurs badly I can’t see Canelo having the power to take him out but can see Canelo outboxing Kovalev to a points decision

Canelo had a hard time with 160 lbs Jacobs size.

Kovalev is twice the fighter Jacobs ever was and is bigger. Kov has stamina issues, but so does Canelo. Kov jabs his nut in.
