Yarde is the real deal if only he was managed properly Frank has done a bad job

Agreed. I think he should leave Tunde. He's a talented fighter, alot better than I thought.

I do agree that light work should have alot of precedence alongside with hard sparring though.

 

He also never been close to 12 rounds. He had the potential to beat Kovalev given better preparation.

 

I was impressed by Yarde's performance, but I honestly don't think he ever was the real deal. Maybe if he'd got his fundamentals down as a youngster he could have been the real deal, but starting late handicapped him too much.

What we saw, IMHO, was a brave performance fueled by total confidence which refused to face this reality until the very last shot. It nearly succeeded, but in the end Yarde's technical flaws were a little too much to overcome.

All the years wasted fighting bums and being trained by a very in experienced guy.

Someone who has had as little amateur and pro fights as he has had and managed to step up to that level has obviously got very serious raw ability.

He has got some great tools, hes a quality fighter, you really have to remember how inexperienced he and his team are when judging him. He's very talented, just needs to be stepped up properly.

 

Wouldn't say it's Frank's fault, even he knew it was a big step up. Yarde looked decent, came to fight and it didn't work out.

This. Although I agree with the OP in that if his management had more patients and had provided him with gradual steps up in his level of opposition it would have better prepared him for a title shot.
