That was my card, very close but clear win.

 

Can you recall which rounds you scored for GGG were particularly very close? I’ll go through those and see if a clear argument could be made for Canelo.

The problem with judging is that it can be very grey with close rounds. Like a fighter can dominate 3 rounds and have 9 toss up rounds. Now if you’re biased, those 9 toss up rounds will go to the other guy, when really the other guy was the only one who dominated any rounds at all. If you give the 3 clear rounds to first guy and most likely split the 9 rounds you end up with 7-5 or 8-4 to the first guy, big difference.

Not saying this is the case but I’d go through in slow motion to see who really won that round, and if you’re wrong about 1 round then it’s possible you’re wrong with a few more and maybe you’ll need to re-evaluate the fight.

And is this 1st or 2nd fight?

I’d have to watch it again. I thought a lot of the rounds where close but GGG dictated with the jab, whilst Canelo was more fluent defensively, GGG made him miss too but he’s defensively obviously more stationary.

It was a great fight and one I do need to watch again.

 

GGG isn't an ATG. He's a great fighter with a heck of a chin but labelling his resume as that of an ATG is laughable. Full of fighters of the level of Macklin and went 1-1 with Canelo

 

Right now I don't see anyone close to being an atg. We do have some fighters who are great. Atg, I don't see anyone. Their careers will have to play out.

 

GGG gets no pass he fought bums for a decade has two close fights with Canelo regardless of how you feel about those fights. Then you compound the fact that every time he’s stepped up he hasnt looked nearly as good as people make him out too be Canelo, Jacobs.... those are just facts. The only two times GGG wasn’t seen a auto win are the two fights that he either lost or could go either way. Also when anyone else ducks a mando against a legit threat I can’t give them the tag all time great

Exactly it's hard to take seriously anybody having fighters like Kovalev and GGG as ATGs and not having Ward in,who beat better opposition and achieved more then both

The guy he’s fighting next.....the same guy that if GGG had fought instead of the Canelo rematch, people like YOU would have claimed he was ducking Canelo.....GGG can never win with certain boxing “fans”.

You want to see a bum of the month reign go look at Hopkins 160 run or even Charlo currently, he’s fought 1 top 10 fighter in Korobov and got a gift
