Mugabi. Early, like within 3 rounds. And Canelo get very well get ruined by suffering a brutal ko loss.

I think Canelo's class and chin take him to a late TKO after an early scare.

Mugabi was a monster at 154, no way does Canelo stop Mugabi. Hagler took an immense amount of punishment against the beast to wear Mugabi down . Canelo wouldn't survive that type onslaught

Well I do not really think too much of Canelo.

Just think of him in there against hitters like Hearns. Barkley. Roldan. Benn. How about McClellan?

How about the tough guys like Dick Tiger? Gene Fullmer? Mustapha Hamsho? or a Doug Dewitt even?

How about the elites like Hagler or Monzon?

Boxer types like Benvenuti or Nunn or Kalambay or Valdez?

I just do not see all that much with the guy and think he is very fortunate to be boxing in the timeframe he does. At the end of the day, I think of the guy as a Hilton type that might get 1 or possibly 2 wins before the parachute opens. And I happen to think it would open badly.

Canelo by decision. Mugabi was one of the great punchers, but Canelo could take it. Canelo would be more consistent and would wear down Mugabi.

Golovkin. Also Jacobs, Angulo, Kirkland, Cotto. 0 knockdowns over 60 rounds. He wasn't even wobbled in any of these fights.

Golovkin, Jacobs, Cotto, Kirkland, Smith lack anything but toughness.

Golovkin (one of the best middleweights of all time).

Golovkin, Lara, Cotto, Jacobs, Trout. All world class boxers.

After Hagler, Mugabi was a different fighter.

Pre-Hagler Mugabi has a real chance and Canelo needs to fight a smart fight to win.

Post-Hagler Mugabi loses to Canelo pretty convincingly.

I think being the better all around boxer and smarter one, Canelo finds a way to win, he has an extremely tough time with Mugabi, but a UD.

I don't believe Canelo beats many of the top 10
Jr. Middles of the 80's early 90's.
That includes Mugabi in his prime.

I can’t see any reason to favor Mugabi other than having a puncher’s chance.

Mugabi had a lot of power, and looked good against a faded Hagler who was inactive on an odd rainy night in Vegas where the vibe that night was different. He looked good against Hargrove and Fletcher, but those guys still didn't show that Mugabi was on the level of Canelo, and the Hagler fight? It was a good fight, but he pretty much put out his best performance when Hagler was faded and inactive, and still lost.. I think Mugabi gets a bit overrated because of the Hagler fight. Canelo would probably take him into deep waters and stop him late.
