I like your criterial. Ward is Clearly top 5 in the Super Middle weight division. The only people that you can possibly put in front of him would be Roy, Calazage, and James Toney. Anybody that doesn't consider him top 5 in the division is clearly Hating and for obvious reasons.
I just did a brief read up on the rules and it looks like you’re referencing the Queensberry rules. Do these rules supersede a referees discretion based on the trunk placement? Queensberry rules aren’t used with most of not all boxing organizations. Where do we go from here?
CJ We’re still stuck in the same boxing rules limbo lol. We can’t just arbitrarily pick and choose which rules are enforced. No boxing commission is mandated to follow Queensberry rules verbatim and the Queensberry rules are best known as a strong foundational base of the rules, not to be mistaken and certainty not used as a replacement for the modern association of boxing commissions rules. Queensberry also implies you can’t hold or clinch and also clearly states no hitting behind the head. Since Kovalev smacked Ward behind the head half a dozen times during a clinch should we now look to retroactively penalize him as well? Now you’re clutching at straws and it seems everyone has abandoned their position at the fort. The most basic and essential element of the Kovalev versus Ward saga is and will always be Wards ability to modify and recalibrate his strategy round after progressing round. Kovalev was dangerous and seemingly more active, however, Ward was more calculated, purposed and balanced.
You say Kov might not even be HOF worthy, so you must not think too highly of Ward’s win over him. Froch and Kessler are lesser fighters than Kov, but they are great wins for Ward according to you. Ok buddy.
You betcha, buddy. What is Kovalev's best win? Whatever you come up with, it's not better than Ward's three best wins and Ward moved up in weight and beat Kovalev twice while Kovalev has been at 175 his entire career and has a loss to Alvarez by stoppage no less. You feel differenty, no problem. Entry in the hof doesn't mean much anymore so Kovalev will probably get in but I don't consider him a great lhw historically speaking.
What weight did Ward win a gold at? And he didn’t exactly jump straight into the Kovalev fight did he.
You claim Ward moved up in weight when I fact moved down, then up, then up, then up....you also as do a lot of Ward fans talk like he jumped straight into the SK fight, when infact obviously did not....just something I’ve picked up. Also which 3 Ward wins are better than his gift and blatant biased snake filled rematch victories over Kovalev?
he faced him twice, whats "he didnt exactly jump in the kovalev fight" mean? do you live in topsy turvy world? you auditioning for a specsavers advert? I dont get how you can be so wrong. i wuld suggest you answer with the usual "ok troll bye".
